After going through a couple of shaky periods, but also times of pure brilliance, the end of Hitman's first season is nearly upon us. Once October 31st finally rolls around we'll be able to accompany Agent 47 on his rather formal business trip to Hokkaido, Japan.
While there isn't much information available right now, what I can tell you is that we will be infiltrating a hyper-exclusive GAMA private hospital and resort in order to take out two high-priority targets. Expect to see Zen gardens, organic sushi restaurants, traditional Japanese hot springs, as well as a whole host of technological marvels.
If you're wondering what all of this might look like, here's a brief teaser:

If you're a fan of old school shooters that focus on absolutely ridiculous weaponry, tons of explosions, and an even bigger amount of really crappy puns, you're in luck as the "Wang-tastic" Shadow Warrior 2 has just been released on PC. I've played it for around 20 minutes, so don't take this as a comprehensive review of any sort, but so far its been pretty damn good!
And for those of you that doubt me when I say that it contains an incredible amount of really, really bad 'Wang puns', just have a look at how cheesy the launch trailer is. Naturally, all of this is being done in good fun, so don't worry about the jokes interfering with all of the slaughter - that is still front and center! Anyway, enough rambling, here's the video:
Ion Hazzikostas, also known as Watcher, is taking up the mantle of World of Warcraft's Game Director

In a blog post that only recently came up, Tom Chilton has announced that he is stepping down from his position as World of Warcraft's Game Director in order to work on another "adventure within Blizzard". What exactly that means, nobody knows, but what we do know is that Ion Hazzikostas will be taking up the newly freed mantle of Game Director. If you're a long time World of Warcraft player but the name still doesn't sound familiar, you most likely know him by his forum alias Watcher (hence the eye-tastic C'thun image above), and more importantly, by his work on the continuously improving raid encounters.
You can read Chilton's full blog post by heading over to the Blizzard forums, but if you're just interested in the short version - here's a few choice quotes that should give you a general idea of the situation:

After going free-to-play back in August, it appears that Faeria is now taking the next big step towards an official release. What I mean by this is that the developers have just released the last major Early Access update in order to spend the next weeks and months polishing, bugfixing, and balancing Faeria in order to have it as spotless as it can be when it finally launches.
As for the update, it brings with it a new and reworked leveling system, emotes to mercilessly taunt communicate with your opponents, 15 new "mind-bending puzzles" to complete, as well as a whole bunch of balance, performance, and other tweaks. You can read the full, gigantic patch notes by heading over to the official website, but if you don't care about any of the new features and just want to see what cards are being changed - here's the list:

For those of you that might not know, Obsidian is the studio responsible for some of the finest RPG games out there: Knights of the Old Republic 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, Neverwinter Nights 2, and the list goes on. As for Tyranny, its a bit of a unique RPG as its set in a world where evil has won, good has been vanquished, and people are now trying to establish peace and order after hordes of demons ravaged their way across the land. Not your usual 'collect the magical doodads representing the four elements' affair!
If this is the sort of RPG that gets your ears all perked up, you'll be glad to hear that you won't have to wait for very long in order to play it as Tyranny is set to release on November 10... this year! In order to celebrate this announcement, and hopefully give you an idea of what Tyranny is all about, the developers also released a brief story trailer titled Fatebinder. Have a look:
Dark Souls 3 - Ashes of Ariandel's latest video is heavily hinting towards an organized 3v3 PvP mode

Continuing the long-held tradition of releasing rather strange Dark Souls trailers, Bandai Namco has just posted a PvP trailer for Dark Souls 3's Ashes of Ariandel DLC. As you can expect, it features plenty of dueling, praising the Sun, backstabbing, and oddly enough, what appears to be an organized 3v3 PvP mode.
While certainly not perfect, Dark Souls 3's PvP has been a great deal of fun so far, so to see FromSoftware continue working on and expanding the concept is a great thing indeed. As for what exactly the upcoming Ashes of Ariandel DLC brings in the PvP department, that you can find out through the video below. Don't expect to get a straight answer, however, as this is Dark Souls we're talking about after all! Have a look:

Beyond Good and Evil is well over 10 years old at this point, and given that Beyond Good and Evil 2 has just recently been announced I can't blame you if you're a bit curious about what the 'series' has to offer. Well, you'll soon have a chance to find out!
As a part of the Ubisoft Club promotions the PC version of Beyond Good and Evil, the 2003 puzzle-solving action-adventure, will be available for free later today. By 'later today' I mean at some point on October 12, so don't get too excited if your region hasn't crossed over to the twelfth just yet!
On a somewhat different note, if you're wondering what Beyond Good and Evil even looks like, here's one of its trailers. The quality might not be the best by today's standards, but compared to most games of that era its actually aged surprisingly well. Have a look:

CarBot Animations, the team that does some of the most amazing fan-animations for Blizzard games, has just released their biggest and grandest project yet - StarCrafts. To put it simply, its a mod that remodels and retextures the entirety of Starcraft 2 into CarBot's specific brand of cartoony wonder.
And when I say the entirety of Starcraft 2, I genuinely mean the entirety of Starcraft 2. I've seen a whole bunch of cosmetic mods during my time, but StarCrafts really takes the cake when it comes to how much effort went into making it reality. Just look at this gameplay trailer, its positively adorable:

After being leaked not once, not even twice, but three times now, the Overwatch Halloween Terror event has finally rolled into town with a whole bunch of new cosmetics to collect. And best of all, you can actually purchase them with your hard-earned currency! Mind you, all of the items are three times as expensive given their 'exclusive' nature, but at the very least you now have some security against the cruel hand of randomness.
Before we go on you should probably check out the recently posted (and rather spooky) Halloween Terror trailer featuring the one and only Doctor Junkenstein! Have a look, its surprisingly well done:

If you were hoping to get even more gameplay out of Stellaris, Paradox's 4X strategy game, you're in luck as the Leviathans expansion is set to arrive next week - October 20 to be specific. It will bring with it powerful space entities known as Guardians, independent outposts of traders and mercenaries, and just for good measure, two ancient empires that are continuously locked in warfare!
Even though it might not be Halloween just yet, the announcement trailer for the Leviathans expansion is quite spooky indeed. Have a look, its rather well made... so much so that I would love to watch a movie with this concept alone:
