Dishonored 2 clockwork robots

The original Dishonored was an amazing game, there is no doubt about that, but it did have a few issues with balance. The majority of the powers you could unlock were of dubious usefulness, often due to their clunky nature that could easily leave you in a sticky situation, which resulted in most players primarily using the Blink ability from start to finish.

Thankfully, it does appear that Bethesda and Arkane are well aware of these issues as Dishonored 2 brings with it numerous quality of life upgrades for Corvo's powers. Blink now allows you to pause time as you choose your destination, Possession can be chained from host to host, Bend Time lets you completely manipulate the flow of time, and the list goes on.

If you're interested in a bit of a sneak peek at what all of this looks like in action, and more importantly, what sort of characters you'll be dealing with, Bethesda has recently posted a video showing off just that. Have a look:

While I can't say I'm a big fan of the new voice actor they chose for the Outsider, the rest of the video looks pretty damn good. The action is slick, the animations (while still somewhat awkward) are greatly improved, and the newly upgraded arsenal of powers looks like its going to be a whole lot of fun to employ against some of the more powerful enemies that await us.

Speaking of which, I would love to find out what in the world is happening with those dead-eyed enemies that appear at the later portions of the trailer. They appear to be far, far different than anything we've seen in Dishonored so far, and this includes people that have dabbled in the Outsider's magic... Whatever they are, we at least won't have to wait for too long in order to find out as Dishonored 2 will be releasing for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 11.
