Civilization VI screenshot of a very advanced city

While it initially launched to some raving reviews the public opinion on Civilization VI took a bit of a downward turn these past few months. Most of this comes down to the ridiculous AI that is more than willing to chop its own arms off in order to spite you. Depending on your playstyle you might not care about such annoyances, but it is difficult to tell before you actually get to experience it.

As such, I am very glad to say that the developers have now added a free playable demo on Steam, so you can easily see for yourself whether this is a deal-breaker or not! The demo only allows you to play the first 60 turns as Qin Shi Huang on a fixed map with America, Egypt, and Sumeria, but this should be more than enough to give you a good impression of what Civilization 6 is all about. And naturally, you can replay the demo as many times as you want.

Turok 2 Seeds of Evil remaster screenshot of a battle with mantis men

After the incredible success of the Turok Remaster Nightdive Studios has returned with yet another update for an oldschool classic. As you can probably guess from the title alone this time around they have improved Turok 2 by adding a brand new UI, cleaner visuals, full 64-bit compatibility, improved character speed and handling, and a whole bunch of other equally nifty features.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in action, wonder no more as the devs have recently posted a brief gameplay trailer. It doesn't feature much actual gameplay footage, but it should be more than enough to showcase how much Turok 2 has improved. Have a look:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Canals map A site

[Update]: Without any prior warning, Valve has just unleashed Counter-Strike 2 as a free update!

In a bit of a surprise update Valve has released a brand new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive map. The rather aptly named Canals map is based on a "historic Italian city", though the "aesthetics are intentionally clean and uncluttered for good player visibility".

The CT side contains a large, wide open area while the T-controlled territory is full of smaller spaces that allow for multiple approaches to each bomb side. Given the previously mentioned wide open space Site A is going to mostly revolve around the proper use of smoke grenades and rifles, while the enclosed areas of Site B are going to be heaven for submachine guns and shotguns.

Scalebearer artwork from Quake Champions

Quake Champions is an upcoming PC exclusive arena shooter designed to be as close to the FPS classics as possible. However, unlike the shooters of old Quake Champions will feature a variety of unique heroes, each with their own skills and abilities. But don't worry about any this messing up the balance because there will 'purist' games modes in both standard and ranked play, so if you don't like these RPG elements you can completely ignore them.

That said, if you're interested in seeing what these abilities might look like in action you'll find a preview video for the heavyweight champion Scalebearer down below. Apparently he has the ability to kill enemies by falling on their heads, kind of like a fatter and more angry version of Mario! With that image now stuck in your head, here's the video:

Endless Space 2 The Riftborn official artwork

A couple of months have passed since the United Empire joined the Endless Space 2 faction roster, and soon there is going to be yet another addition. The March 23rd update will bring with it the long-awaited multiplayer mode, better AI, an advanced tutorial for new players, plenty of balance changes and bufixes, and most importantly, The Riftborn as a new playable faction.

If you're interested in learning a little bit more about these visitors from another dimension, look no further than the video down below. There is unfortunately no actual gameplay in there, but the visuals look pretty damn awesome, so its still well worth a watch. Have a look:

Shadowverse trailer screenshot featuring the bloodcraft ship

It has taken Shadowverse a mere month to go from 7 to 8 million downloads, and that number is soon going to increase even further as the Tempest of the Gods expansion looms ever closer. Once the third expansion arrives it will bring with it 104 new cards to toy around with, including two new Legendaries for each of the classes - all aimed at promoting new and potentially interesting playstyles.

While the recently posted trailer won't give you a single clue about any of that, it does a rather good job of showcasing some of those Legendaries in action alongside a surprisingly good soundtrack. Have a look:

Dota 2's Bladeform Legacy official artwork of Juggernaut

As is tradition, after a couple of months of complete radio silence Valve and Icefrog have suddenly released a massive Dota 2 patch. The rather aptly named Bladestorm Legacy Update brings with it a fancy new Juggernaut Arcana to vacuum all of your money, a new model for Jakiro that doesn't look like a flying tar pit, a new Captain's Mode interface, and a whole bunch of balance changes to peruse.

If you're interested in all of the details, and believe me when I say there is quite a few of those, you can find what you seek on the official website. But if you're just looking for all of the general changes that don't relate to specific heroes and items, here they are:

Dark Souls 3 screenshot showing flaming swords and demon weapons

The Ringed City is going to be Dark Souls 3's second and last piece of DLC, but perhaps most importantly of all, the grand finale of the entire Dark Souls series. It will bring with it new bosses to tackle, an assortment of new weaponry to fight them with, a whole bunch of strange lore to puzzle over, and even two new PvP arenas where you can team up with a buddy and kick some serious ass.

While the details are still lacking the developers have just released a brief video preview of one of the arenas - Dragon Ruins. So if you're interested in seeing what sort terrain you will be covering with copious amounts of blood, look no further than the video below:

Artwork for Orisa from Overwatch

Overwatch's 24th hero Orisa has been on the PTR for over two weeks now, and it appears she will remain there for a little while longer in order to ensure a smooth launch. To be more specific, Orisa will be unleashed onto the PC and consoles this Tuesday, March 21st.

Besides this little tidbit of information the Overwatch devs have also released a fascinating video detailing Orisa's creation, all the way from the very beginning to the very end. So if you're interested in seeing Goth Zaryas run around with Bastion cannons for arms make sure to give the video a look:

Mirage: Arcane Warfare's Tinker class in action

Mirage: Arcane Warfare is a spiritual successor to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, though with a far greater focus on unique characters and abilities. In order to get us familiarized with each one the developers have slowly started releasing class spotlights showcasing the hero's personality and in-game abilities. So far we've seen what the Taurant and Vigilist are all about, and today the spotlight falls squarely on the mischievous Tinker.

While the previous two class spotlight videos featured a ridiculous amount of cheesiness, the Tinker one makes them look like high-class entertainment by comparison. So if you're interested in seeing just how annoying the Tinker can be, look no further than the video down below:
