[Update #2]: Cyberpunk 2077's Update 1.1 has brought in a brand new batch of bug fixes and improvements.

[Update]: Cyberpunk 2077 has fixed the notorious Save File Corruption bug on PC.

To say that the wait for Cyberpunk 2077 was long would be one hell of an understatement. Not only was it first announced back in 2012, but every time the release date would be within our grasp CDPR would delay it for another two or three months.

As such, I am both pleased and surprised to say that Cyberpunk 2077 has now finally been unleashed. That's it. There's no more delays, no more teasers or strange rumors - you can actually go and play it right now! And just in case you think I'm joking, here's the freshly posted launch trailer:

[Update #2]: Creative Assembly has begun teasing a major Total War: Warhammer announcement.

[Update]: The new beta update has brought in even more buffs for the Wood Elves.

Wood Elves were one of the very first DLCs released for Total War: Warhammer 1, and it really showed. Their campaign was a complete mess that required you to go for a massive empire instead of sticking with the theme and defending your forest, none of your outposts had garrisons that could withstand even the smallest of enemy forces, and you were also heavily disincentivized from using your entire roster due to Amber.

The Wood Elves desperately needed a rework, and I'm delighted to say that the recent The Twisted & The Twilight update has brought in just that! Instead of going for a massive, continent-spanning empire, the Wood Elves are now all about healing and maintaining a variety of magical forests.

[Update]: The patch has now gone live, while the Winter Wonderland 2020 event will be arriving on December 15th!

Ever since Sigma and Wrecking Ball became immensely popular, their counterparts Reinhardt and D.Va have ended up in a bit of an awkward spot. This is partly because the meta doesn't favor them right now, and partly because they are simply too squishy to get their job done.

So in order to sort this little problem out, Blizzard recently released an experimental update that directly buffed Reinhardt and D.Va's survivability, on top of buffing the damage Reinhardt's hammer swings do! And just to make sure double shield doesn't become a thing, Blizzard also gave Baptiste a bit of a nerf. Here's what's being changed:

Worms Rumble official artwork and logo

In sharp contrast to pretty much every single Worms game out there, the newly launched Worms Rumble has opted to forgo its strategy roots and instead focus on intense 32-player, real-time action with plenty of classic and wacky weapons. And just to make things even more unusual, Worms Rumble also features its very own Battle Royale mode!

As for what exactly all of this looks like in actual gameplay, that you can find out through the freshly posted launch trailer. Have a gander, it should clue you in quite quickly:

[Update #2]: Nioh 2: The Complete Edition has now finally landed onto PC!

[Update]: Nioh 2's latest PC preview highlights all of the graphical improvements and PC settings.

If you grabbed Nioh during the recent Steam sale and found yourself thoroughly enjoying it, you'll be happy to hear that Nioh 2 will soon be making its way to PC as well. Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition will be launching on February 5, 2021 alongside all three DLC expansions: The Tengu’s Disciple, Darkness in the Capital, and The First Samurai.

Much like the original Nioh, the Steam version will come with a small bonus. And yes, it is once again the absolutely hilarious and equally garish Valve helmet! Not only does it feature a giant red valve sprouting from its backside, but the actual armor is made out of numerous keyboards, because why not!

[Update #2]: Overwatch has added the Winter Wonderland 2020 event along with the awesome Priority Pass system!

[Update]: Overwatch is looking to significantly buff Reinhardt and D.Va, while also nerfing Baptiste.

There is no denying that Overwatch has a bit of a problem with population balance when it comes to its three roles. The number of DPS players greatly eclipses the number of support players, while the number of support players also greatly eclipses the number of tank players. The end result, as you might imagine, is that both DPS and support players can end up with extremely long queue times.

In order to solve this problem in a way that makes everyone happy, Blizzard will soon be introducing the Priority Pass. The way it works is that by queuing as the new "Flex" role you will be used to help fill out the underpopulated role (read tank), with your reward being the fancy new Priority Pass that allows you to jump to the front of the queue regardless of what role you select.

Watch Dogs: Legion official artwork and logo

If you were hoping to get a taste of Watch Dogs: Legion's multiplayer action once it launches this December 3rd, I'm afraid I bring a bit of bad news. In an effort to fix all of the current issues, as well as to ensure the new online modes get as polished as they can possibly be, Ubisoft has now pushed the whole update back to early 2021.

"Since the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, some of you continue to have technical issues preventing you from enjoying the game," reads the brief update. "The dev team is committed to fixing these issues and will not stop until everyone can experience the game as intended."

Red Dead Online official artwork and logo

In an announcement that I'm sure will come as quite a surprise, Rockstar Games have now revealed and released a standalone version of Red Dead Online! Best of all, this standalone version will only be $5 until February 15, 2020 on all platforms!

While Red Dead Online is far worse than its GTA counterpart, and definitely not as enthralling as the actual Red Dead Redemption 2, I'd say this is still a pretty good deal. Not only will it keep you occupied for quite a few hours before the luster starts to wear off, but it can also serve as a relatively cheap way of demoing Red Dead Redemption 2 before diving into the real thing.

Total War: Warhammer 2 The Twisted & The Twilight DLC artwork

[Update #2]: Creative Assembly has begun teasing a major Total War: Warhammer announcement.

[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 2's massive The Twisted & The Twilight update has now been unleashed.

Tomorrow, December 3, Total War: Warhammer 2 will be getting The Twisted & The Twilight DLC alongside a massive free update. On the DLC side of things you can expect to see Throt the Unclean as a legendary lord for the Skaven, Naestra & Arahan as a two-in-one legendary lord for the Wood Elves, an assortment of new units and mechanics to toy around with, as well as brand new legendary heroes!

While all of that is certainly exciting, the real highlight of this update is all of the free stuff. Not only are the Wood Elves getting reworked from the ground up, but the Mortal Empires map is getting expanded yet again, while the various Warhammer 1 and 2 races are getting a plethora of quality-of-life changes to make them more interesting to play with.

[Update]: Apex Legends' latest animated short dives into Pathfinder's backstory.

The holiday season is now well and truly upon us, which means that much like last year, Apex Legends' festive Holo-Day Bash event is just about ready to launch! Once it arrives later today (December 1st) it'll bring with it an assortment of sales on both new and old cosmetics, the return of Winter Express game mode, as well as a new reward track with its very own freebie skins to grab.

Since the numerous cosmetics are very likely going to be the highlight of the event for many of you, allow me to start by sharing the recent trailer that showcases off all of them in action. Have a gander:
