Worms Rumble official artwork and logo

In sharp contrast to pretty much every single Worms game out there, the newly launched Worms Rumble has opted to forgo its strategy roots and instead focus on intense 32-player, real-time action with plenty of classic and wacky weapons. And just to make things even more unusual, Worms Rumble also features its very own Battle Royale mode!

As for what exactly all of this looks like in actual gameplay, that you can find out through the freshly posted launch trailer. Have a gander, it should clue you in quite quickly:

While I haven't played Worms Rumble myself, I am happy to say that its reception so far has been pretty positive. From what I can tell it's not the deepest nor most complex arena shooter out there, but if you're looking for short bursts of excitement every now and then, Worms Rumble might just be up your alley.

The final thing worth mentioning is that Worms Rumble already features cross-play support between the PC and PlayStation versions. Not only is this useful if you have friends on different platforms, but it also goes a long way towards solving the most common problem arena shooters tend to have - player population. So with a bit of luck, Worms Rumble should be fully playable for a long time to come.

For now, however, you can learn more about Worms Rumble, as well as check out some of the user reviews, over at Steam. Have fun!
