Before I even realized Dota was a thing I spent countless hours in Warcraft 3 playing four maps: The Life of a Peasant, Uther Party, Castle Fight and the gloriously addicting Element TD.
So you can imagine how overjoyed I was today when I saw that Element Tower Defense was ported over to Dota 2. A few things are missing, such as support for 8 players, but overall its the very same Element TD I binged on back in my teenage years.

Sega's Make War Not Love competition has now ended with Dawn of War 2 crowned as the supreme victor after a dominating show of fan support. In honor of such a victory Sega has given out a free piece of DLC for Dawn of War 2 which you can claim here though expect the keys to be delayed a week or so due to the amount of requests.
Besides that one piece of DLC Sega has also released the final trio of free games: Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops and Viking: Battle for Asgard. Here's a short description of each one and how exactly you can claim them:
Black Desert Online - Review, Impressions & Critique (Pre-Launch Beta Version)
- By Ash
- in Reviews
Black Desert is a combat focused MMORPG that features a large open world, skill based fighting system, in-depth crafting, large scale PvP and some beautiful visuals to go along with all of that.
It is currently in a closed beta state so take everything I say with a grain of salt as big issues are most likely going to be resolved by the time Black Desert launches on March 3rd. As of right now though, Black Desert has some of the most impressive environments I've seen in an MMO alongside a very well done action orientated fighting system but suffers from incredibly easy enemies, generic quests and atrocious voice acting.

Despite the latest two Dragon Age games veering heavily to the more action orientated side of the RPG spectrum I still have a soft spot for Origins and its more slow, methodical approach to combat.
And it seems I'm not the only one because in a recent twitter message executive Producer Mark Darrah asked if there was any interest in a tactical Dragon Age game. He even included a poll which is currently weighed heavily towards the "Yes" style of answers. Here's the message and the current poll counts:

[Update]: After nearly a decade in development, Factorio has now finally been released!
Factorio is a game with a simple concept but almost infinite complexity as it tasks you with thinking up and creating fully-automated factories in order to produce increasingly more difficult items.
After being in development for over four years and selling an impressive 110,000 copies Factorio is finally ready to make the big step in to Steam Early Access. Here's the two year old trailer that managed to convince me that Factorio is in fact amazing:

The Heroes of Might and Magic series has not had a good past few years with each iteration bringing in new bugs, balance quibbles and plenty of other issues. Unfortunately HOMAM VII belongs in this category as well but at least the developers are committed and willing to improve upon its flaws and extend the story months after launch.
Update 1.7, which has gone live recently, brought with it plenty of bug fixes and new features as well as a 5 mission long campaign set 14 years in the past during the events of HOMAM IV. Here are the patch notes and a brief description of what to expect from this new campaign:
