The 2013 reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise might not be the best game ever made but it was certainly fresh and enjoyable enough for me to finish it in just a couple of days and feel good about the whole experience afterwards.
If you are exclusively on Linux and thus never had a chance to try it I might have some good news as SteamDB has spotted some Linux related files being added to the Tomb Raider app.

DarkMaus Is A Dark Souls Inspired Action RPG Staring... Well, A Mouse

Given how often I mention it there's no hiding the fact that I am a gigantic fan of Dark Souls and the Souls series in general. The combination of brutal difficulty, immersive world-building, well balanced combat and plenty of ways to approach any single problem turned out to be exactly what I ever wanted from a game.
With Dark Souls 3 still a tiny spec on the horizon I'm constantly looking for similar games to sate my endless hunger for Souls-y gameplay. And much to my surprise, given that I do try to keep an eye out for upcoming indie games, I would've completely missed DarkMaus - a Dark Souls inspired ARPG starring a tiny badass mouse in armor - if not for PCgamer, so thanks for that one guys.
Here's the trailer and a short description of what DarkMaus is all about:
Fallout 4 Mod Adds Traits And Many New Perks
- By Ash

Back in Fallout 3 and New Vegas there were plenty of unique and cool perks to chose from, some of which would augment your character in major ways while giving you a drawback to compensate. My favorite example of this is the four eyes trait that permanently reduces your perception but gives you a bonus if you wear glasses. Its flavorful, powerful and balanced as you can't wear head armor anymore.
Sadly Fallout 4 doesn't even have traits and the perks it does have are all straight forward and rather uninteresting. But, as it is common with Bethesda games, the modding community provides, today in the form of Cirosan's Traits and More Perks mod. Here's a few examples of the traits introduced by the mod:

At this point I'm sure everyone knows about Star Citizen, THE crowdfunded game with ambitions larger than the universe its attempting to portray. But if you are like me then the rather extravagant price point of almost all ships kept you from ever giving it a try.
If that's the case I have some great news because with the launch of the recent 2.1.2 update Star Citizen has entered a "Free Fly" weekend which means you can jump in today and experience it all for yourself. Here's what will be available during this portion of the Alpha:
Valve Has Banned CS:GO Community Servers That Were Providing Skins & Emblems
- By Ash
- in News
In a move that made a lot of people very angry Valve has decided to ban CS:GO community servers that were found to be providing custom skins (such as guns and knives) or emblems/rank tags.
This decision wasn't aimed at servers running various texture replacement mods (such as the popular zombie themed one) but rather at those that specifically "misrepresented" a player's skill group/rank or the items they own. Here's a short summary of the whole event:

Its been a good week for fans of virtual country living as the Harvest Moon inspired World's Dawn released only a couple of days ago and now perhaps the most anticipated "farming simulator" Stardew Valley is making its way to Steam as well.
Stardrew Valley has been in steady development for a couple of years now by a single person and very soon we'll finally be able to experience the fruits of his labor once Stardew Valley releases on Steam this February 26th. Here's the trailer:
