It might seem like a silly idea to make an entire franchise of Truck Simulator games but you have to hand it to SCS Software, they are dedicated to their trucking craft.

In an upcoming update for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 & American Truck Simulator Steam Workshop support is going to be enabled bringing with it much easier browsing, downloading and management of mods.

The mod support update is currently in a closed beta while SCS fixes any major bugs and adds tutorials to help out fledgling mod creators. Once finished the idea behind the Steam Workshop integration is to provide a singular place for all Truck Simulator mods with developer & community guides, examples, tricks of the trade and so on.

If you would like to join in and either test out the mods or the Workshop itself keep an eye on SCS's website as they will be transitioning in to a public beta in the near future. The full implementation of mod support is likely going to happen in the next couple of weeks, barring any delays, but the developers weren't willing to give out a specific date just yet.
