While I am not the biggest fan of fighting games, I have enormous respect for Skullgirls as it has managed to wrestle its way in to the fighting game scene purely through the strength of its gameplay and the stylish art work, there was no big name to push it through.
And if that wasn't good enough already, the previously PlayStation exclusive Ultimate Edition of Skullgirls is making its way to Steam tomorrow in the form of the 2nd Encore Update. Here's the brief trailer and what exactly you can expect from the 2nd Encore:

Papers, Please Creator Has Released A Free Demo For His Latest Game - Return Of The Obra Dinn

Papers, Please was a visually and emotionally unsettling experience that managed to convey in far too vivid detail how even nice people could succumb to corruption and apathy when faced with a threat to their family's livelihood. Best of all, such a powerful game was designed, written, and created by a single man!
And now the creator is back again, this time around with a narrative driven mystery styled after the old first person adventure games from the 80s. Return of the Obra Dinn is currently not finished, but Lucas Pope has released a short gameplay demo showcasing what exactly its all about, and if you have 20 minutes to spare, I'd give it a look.

Every single bit of information the developers behind No Man's Sky released so far was related to exploration, aliens, and sometimes even exploring aliens, but never did they go in to detail on what exactly you do in the game.
Thankfully, that is no longer the case as IGN has managed to sit down one of the developers, and over the course of a 20 minute long video go over the various gameplay features such as: gathering and crafting, combat, trading, and why exactly you want to explore these randomly generated worlds. The latest Rust update brought with it lighting improvements, numerous map changes, a whole bunch of balance and gameplay fixes, and most importantly, female models after promising them many months ago.
While that would be a perfect update on its own, Rust has managed to stir up the community by removing the character creator, and permanently assigning everyone their gender, appearance, and penis size (you read that right) based on their Steam ID.

Despite never playing any of Evolution Studios' titles (MotorStorm series, Driveclub, etc.) it was still rough hearing about Sony laying off the entire company after having them make well-received PlayStation exclusives for over a decade.
Thankfully, Codemasters have come to the rescue, and have picked up the majority of Evolution Studios employees with the intent to make a company that's all about creating the very best AAA racing games.
