Final Fantasy IX PC Port Is Now Available On Steam

What is it with Square Enix and sneaky releases of their Final Fantasy ports? The Steam page for Final Fantasy IX has simply said "releases in early 2016" for a couple of months now, so imagine my surprise when I logged on to Steam today and saw that Final Fantasy IX has released in the dead of night with barely a peep from Square Enix.
You would think that the port is so bad they're ashamed of it, but no, according to the majority of Steam reviews the PC version of FFIX has managed to be not just a faithful recreation of the classic RPG, but also an upgrade in terms of gameplay features. Bizarre marketing strategies aside, here's the trailer and what bonus features the PC version of FFIX brings to the table:
You Can Play Oculus Rift Exclusives On The Vive Thanks To A New "Hack"

While I can understand the business decision behind keeping some games Oculus Rift exclusive, its still absurd to see them locked away from people just because they chose the wrong monitor, especially since VR is in its infancy and needs all of the bestsellers it can get to propel it forward.
Thankfully, a crafty Reddit user by the name of CrossVR has already found a workaround (found on GitHub) that allows you to play Lucky's Tale, and Oculus Dreamdeck on the HTC Vive. The way it works is rather simple, as noted by CrossVR:
The Witcher 3: Blood And Wine Expansion Release Date May Have Been Leaked
- By Ash
- in News
Blood and Wine is the second, and unfortunately final DLC for the Witcher 3, a game that I've come to absolutely adore, despite it being somewhat flawed.
The expansion is officially slated to arrive sometime in the first half of 2016, and if the Polish gaming site GRYOnline is to be believed, the actual release date is June 7. GRYOnline has since then removed it from its listing, but WCCFTech has managed to capture a screenshot beforehand that clearly shows the supposed release date.
Consotrium: The Tower's Fig Crowdfunder Has Reached Its $300,000 Goal In Only 6 Days

Its amusing, and rather encouraging to see how one's fortune can change so suddenly. When Consortium developers attempted to secure funding through Kickstarter in January, they found themselves with less than half of the desired amount, and yet here we are, six days in to their Fig campaign, and its already surpassed its $300,000 goal.
The interesting thing to note here is that the majority of funding comes from investors, $224K of it to be exact, with "only" $80K coming from the backers themselves, which is slightly less than half of what the Kickstarter managed to originally gather ($182K) during its month-long campaign.
A Large Amount Of Overwatch Beta Invites Will Be Sent Out This Week

If you're about as lucky as I am then you're probably following the Overwatch developer blogs, reading the patch notes, checking up on heroes, slowly dying inside, and all of the other lovely side-effects that come with being among those that never received a beta key.
While there is still no guaranteed way of getting in to the closed beta, the upcoming stress test on April 15 will coincide with a massive amount of beta invites being sent out, and with a little bit of luck one of them might just have your name on it.
Homefront: The Revolution's Latest Trailer Showcases The Basics Of Open-World Gameplay

The original Homefront had an interesting story premise, as well as shocking imagery to back it up (the mass grave scene being a prime example), but unfortunately the end result was a barely coherent mess that suffered from the worst sin in gaming, it was simply boring.
However, if the recent gameplay and story trailers for Homefront: The Revolution are any judge, there seems to a genuine effort on the developer's part to make the Homefront series in to something unique, and hopefully fun to play. One such trailer released a couple of hours ago, and it details how exactly the resistance plans to retake the entirety of Philadelphia, have a look:
Remedy Has Outlined Their Plans To Improve Quantum Break's PC Version
- By Ash

Despite Remedy having a long and storied history with PC gaming, the PC port of Quantum Break has been, to put it lightly, a massive disappointment in terms of graphical quality and stability.
Remedy is working on these issues, however, as noted in the recent blog post which went over the majority of problems the PC crowd has encountered with Quantum Break, and what is currently being done about them. Here's a short overview of what you can expect to see fixed in the near future:
