Reinhardt's upcoming Balderich armor skin

If watching the relatively recent Bastion animated short got you interested in the Crusaders and Reinhardt's history in general, you'll be glad to hear that Eichenwalde, Overwatch's first post-launch map, is now available on the PTR (Public Test Realm).

Much like King's Row and Numbani, Eichenwalde is a hybrid map that features elements from both payload and assault maps, all wrapped up in some of the loveliest scenery Overwatch has seen to date. If you don't believe me, here's the trailer that showcases the various locations on the map, and more importantly, one of the amazing new skins for Reinhardt:

No Man's Sky Gameplay Showcase - An exploration orienated space-adventure

No Man's Sky's space ship and station

No Man's Sky is an exploration orientated adventure game that simply asks of you to head out into the universe and see what is there to see. While the various screenshots and trailers may paint it as this vast and complex game with nearly infinite possibilities, the unfortunate reality is that No Man's Sky is actually somewhat mediocre.

Given the amount of pre-launch excitement No Man's Sky managed to gather I can understand if that statement is a bit of a shock to you, but allow me to prove it by showing you an average 15 minute slice of gameplay. In the video below you'll see abandoned stations, plenty of exploration and flying around, crafting, and naturally combat as well, so hopefully you'll leave with a better understanding of No Man's Sky and whether its the sort of game you'd enjoy or not. World of Warcraft: Legion's patch 7.1 will bring back Kharazan as a long five-man dungeon

World of Warcraft's Kharazan screenshot

Warlords of Draenor is by far the worst expansion World of Warcraft has ever received, and its not because of the quality of its content, but rather the complete lack of thereof. With the upcoming Legion expansion now right around the corner, Blizzard has decided to prove that they have learned their lesson by announcing a major post launch patch - Return to Kharazan.

Unlike its previous raid incarnation, however, the patch 7.1 Kharazan will be a large five-man dungeon with nine bosses to contend with. Which bosses will be new and which ones will be making a return, I'm afraid I currently don't know, but if the recent trailer is any judge good ol' Moroes will be there to clean up all of the bloodstains. During a recent Gamescom presentation Square Enix and PlatinumGames brought out a rather surprising announcement - the previously PS4 exclusive NeiR: Automata will be making its way to Steam and PC as well!

If you have no idea what NieR: Automata is all about and why this such an exciting piece of news, here's the relatively recent E3 gameplay video showcasing one of the boss fights and some truly amazing music:

Nine Parchments is an upcoming co-op "blast 'em up" from Frozenbyte, the devs behind Trine

With the promising, but somewhat underwhelming stealth-adventure Shadwen now under wraps, Frozenbyte has begun work on their next project - a co-operative "blast 'em up" named Nine Parchments. Fans of the Trine series will be happy to hear that Nine Parchments takes place in the same universe, though the way they're connected hasn't been revealed just yet.

As for the story, it revolves around a rag-tag group of wizard apprentices who have decided to skip all of that boring training and studying in order to achieve greatness as quickly as possible, or more realistically, dismemberment via angry dragon. In order to avoid such a grizzly fate you're going to have to master the five elements and tactically apply a variety of devastating spells through a combat system that seems to be oddly reminiscent of Magicka's.

Whether there is any actual similarity when it comes to the raw gameplay, I honestly don't know, but here's the recently posted gameplay trailer so you can at least figure out if this is something you're interested in or not:

Natural Disasters is an upcoming DLC for Cities: Skylines that brings with it the apocalypse

I am starting to believe that Paradox is now under control of an evil AI as they have recently started introducing a whole bunch of creative ways to absolutely demolish all you have taken hours upon hours to build. It all started with Crusader Kings 2 and its DLC that brings forth the black plague, but apparently that was just not deadly enough as Paradox has just announced a brand new DLC for Cities: Skylines that features a meteor barreling towards the city.

The aptly named Natural Disasters DLC brings with it a whole bunch of new catastrophes to play around with, along with an early warning system and emergency countermeasures for those that might not wish to have all of their work erased. More importantly, however, Chirper gets a whole slew of new hats! Here's the short teaser video:

Blizzard has released an animated "short" for Overwatch's most popular murder-bot Bastion

Overwatch's animated short featuring Bastion

When it comes to creating amazing cinematics there are very few studios that can compete with Blizzard as they have been churning out some of the best moments in gaming for nearly two decades now.

With that in mind, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that their latest "The Last Bastion" animated short is simply outstanding as well. There is not even a single word spoken throughout its 7 minute run time, yet it manages to tell a compelling story about a character everyone loves to hate. Have a look, its well worth the time:
