Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, a 4v1 multiplayer game from the Friday the 13th team, has now arrived

Following in the footsteps of their previous games like Predator: Hunting Grounds and Friday the 13th: The Game, the freshly released Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer madhouse. The big difference is that instead of the solo player serving as the big bad monster the others have to avoid or defeat, in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed the ghost is the one that has to rely on stealth and subterfuge in order to scare off its pursuers.

CD Projekt Red has announced a modern remake of the very first Witcher game

[Update]: The Witcher 3's next gen update is coming to PC and consoles on December 14, 2022 alongside a free DLC based on the Netflix TV show.
As a part of a recent announcement, CD Projekt Red revealed that there are multiple Witcher games currently in the works. While most of the new games are still shrouded in mystery, I do have an exciting bit of news to share as Project Canis Majoris has just now been unmasked as an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the original Witcher game!
The upcoming Witcher Remake will be a collaboration between CD Projekt Red and Fool’s Theory, a studio that worked on a variety of games like Baldur's Gate 3, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Seven: The Days Long Gone. I'd love to give you some actual details about the revamped gameplay and potential new features, but The Witcher Remake is currently still early in development so the details are completely nonexistent.

If you're looking for a new game to delve into during this Halloween season, you'll be happy to hear that the Steam Scream Fest 2022 has now arrived. Much like its less spooky predecessors, the Steam Scream Fest brings with it a ton of discounts on all sorts of horror themed games, as well as a bunch of free demos to entice you to give something new and unusual a chance.
For those of you unsure where to even start, allow me to share with you a couple of games that really caught my attention these past few years. Here's the list, in no particular order:
Overwatch 2's Halloween Terror update has arrived alongside a brand new co-op mission

[Update #2]: Overwatch 2's next tank hero will be Ramattra - the mysterious Omnic leader of Null Sector.
[Update]: Overwatch 2 is officially nerfing Genji, Zarya, Sombra, D.Va and Kiriko... but only in three weeks!
After a surprisingly brief round of teasers, Overwatch 2's first major update - Halloween Terror - has now been unleashed. It brings with it all of the original game's Halloween skins, three new legendary skins to collect (one of which is free), the return of the Junkenstein's Revenge game mode, as well as a brand new co-op mission - Wrath of the Bride!
Much like its predecessor, Wrath of the Bride will have you take control of one of four heroes (Junker Queen, Ashe, Sojourn and Kiriko) as they run around an appropriately spooky version of the Eichenwalde fighting tricky bosses and hordes of 'zomnics.' Wrath of the Bride is admittedly a lot more dynamic than the original game mode since you're constantly moving forward instead of simply defending a static location, though the core idea is mostly the same.
Rotoscoped and remarkably atmospheric 8-bit horror game Faith: The Unholy Trinity has launched onto PC

If you're looking to play something a bit out of the ordinary this Halloween season, you might want to give the freshly released Faith: The Unholy Trinity a try. As you might expect from the name alone, Faith will have you rummage through haunted forests, abandoned churches and Satanic cults in order to figure out what exactly is going on, how to stop it, and ideally how to go through all of that while retaining at least some semblance of sanity.

Dark Souls 2: SOTFS PC servers are once again live, while the Dark Souls: PTD ones will sadly stay offline

[Updat]: I have a bit of good news to share. Dark Souls Remastered's servers are now once again live!
During the lead up to Elden Ring's launch a major vulnerability was discovered in the matchmaking system for the entirety of the Dark Souls series on PC. With there being no easy way to resolve this problem, FromSoftware opted to take down all of the online features on PC until a lasting solution could be found.
Back in August the FromSoftware team finally managed to get Dark Souls 3's online features back in action and now, two months later, the same has been done for the PC version of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. So if you're in the mood for some jolly cooperation, this would be the perfect time to start a brand new character as the servers are bound to be bustling with activity!
RimWorld's Biotech expansion has added player-controlled mechanoids, children and gene editing

If you're looking for even more toys and systems to play around with in RimWorld, you might be interested to hear that the Biotech expansion has now arrived. True to its name, Biotech brings with it gene editing technology that allows you collect and implant a variety of alien genes in order to create super-human (or perhaps super-monstrous) colonists.
Thanks to the new expansion, colonists are now also able to become pregnant and give birth - both naturally and through technological means. From there you can invest a considerable amount of time and effort into training and educating your progeny to mold them into valuable members of the colony, or if you're going for a bit of a... different strategy, pump out cheap and disposable soldiers from the new growth vats.
