Dota 2 artwork for Crystal Maiden's blueheart persona that turns her into a wolf

[Update #2]: Dota 2's next update, and quite likely the newest hero Muerta, will be unveiled on March 6th.

[Update]: Dota 2's Update 7.32d has nerfed Marci, Wraith Pact, as well as rebalanced a whole bunch of other heroes and items.

In an effort to keep the momentum going from the recent The International 2022 tournament, Valve has now unleashed the second part of the massive Battle Pass. More on that in just a moment, because it's well worth mentioning that this Battle Pass is currently entirely free for everyone to grab thanks to the recently released "The International Swag Bag", which also comes with a free Arcana-tier skin of your choice as a nice little bonus.

Now then, what does the second part of the Battle Pass bring to the table? Unsurprisingly, a whole bunch of cosmetics! First and foremost, Crystal Maiden's "Conduit of the Blueheart" Persona has transformed her into a literal wolf with brand new voice lines, animations and special effects. In my humble opinion it's easily the best cosmetic in the current Battle Pass, and as luck would have it, it's also the easiest one to acquire as you only need to reach level 148 to get it!

The update has also brought with it the Immortal Treasure 2 which, as the name would suggest, contains an assortment of fancy cosmetics for a variety of heroes. The best one out of the bunch is an absurdly over-the-top dress for Queen of Pain, though sadly getting it is going to be a pain as well given that it's placed in the ultra rare slot.

In order to help spice things up a bit, the new Battle Pass update also gives you the ability to acquire a bunch of candy by simply playing the game. While you sadly can't gorge yourself on their minty goodness, you can exchange the precious candy for a variety of cosmetic items, including Arcanas! You'll only be able to see three items at a time in your Candyworks shop' so make sure to keep re-rolling your items until you find something you really like.

Not every reward is fantastic, but thankfully you get loads of re-rolls

Those of you that love Portal 2 and want to hear Aperture Science's CEO rant about all sorts of nonsense that happens throughout the average Dota 2 match will also be happy to hear that Cave Johnson now has a proper announcer pack! It's relatively simple to get as well since you only need level 75 to unlock it, though that is still going to take you a little while as Dota 2 tends to be quite stingy with the amount of Battle Pass experience it gives players.

The final thing worth mentioning is that the update has also added the seasonal Diretide game mode that will task you and your friends with stuffing the opposing team's wells with candy in order to make Roshan attack them instead of you. It's a nice little diversion from the usual Dota 2 matches, but sadly it's nowhere near as entertaining as Aghanim's Labyrinth.

You can learn more about Diretide, as well as check out some of the aforementioned cosmetics, over at the Dota 2 website. Enjoy, and good luck grabbing some of those candy-fueled Arcanas!
