After receiving a whole bunch of nominations for a wide variety of categories, Valve has just recently come out to announce all of the finalists. So if you're interested in dishing out silly rewards for your favorite games, or just the ones that you feel actually deserve recognition, make sure to head on over to Steam and cast your vote.

The whole process will last until January 2nd, with each new day bringing with it a vote for a new category. If this is your first time hearing about the whole process I'm afraid it does mean you've missed out on a couple of votes, but worry as there are still plenty of awards to give out.

The infernal survival-horror game Agony will be heading to PC and consoles in late March

By Ash

Agony is an upcoming survival-horror game set in one of the most fitting locations for the genre - a rather twisted depiction of hell itself. As you might expect from the setting, you won't be punching any trees or crafting bows in order to survive. Instead, you will need to sneak around a variety of bloodthirsty demons, explore a twisted and often confusing hellscape, and perhaps most interestingly of all, posses lesser demons in order to bypass obstacles and potentially fatal situations.

If all of this sounds like something you would love to check out, you'll be glad to hear that Agony now finally has an actual release date. If everything goes according to plan you'll be able to go on a leisurely stroll through hell itself this March 30th on both PC and consoles. It's a little bit later than what was initially announced, but as long as the gameplay is solid I don't think anyone is going to mind waiting a few more months.

Overwatch developers have now sent out a small Christmas gift - 5 free Loot Boxes

Even though they already had an entire stream featuring the Game Director Jeff Kaplan silently stare at the camera (I'm not joking), the Overwatch team has now decided to unleash an additional Christmas gift for their players. As with last year's Winter Wonderland event, the gift in question is a simple but effective one - 5 free Loot Boxes!

From what I've seen and experienced so far these free Loot Boxes do not seem to have a higher drop chance for rare items, so don't be surprised if you leave with none of the fancy new legendaries. On the positive side, they do give you a couple of guaranteed Winter Wonderland items, so even if you're like me and you have absolutely no luck, you'll still leave with something new.

[Update]: Dragon Ball FighterZ's most likely final update will add the much-requested rollback netcode.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is an upcoming 2.5D fighting game from Arc System Works, developers you might know from their work on the Blaz Blue and Guilty Gear series of fighting games. The goal behind Dragon Ball FighterZ, as you're no doubt aware by this point, is to to bring the gameplay and visuals as close as possible to the show itself.

So if you're wondering just how close the developers have managed to get, allow me to share with you the recently posted opening cinematic. It's a little bit cleaner and more polished than the show, but as you'll see in the video below it's still pretty damn impressive. Have a look:

[Update]: It took over four years, but PUBG has now gone free-to-play on all platforms.

After having an incredibly successful Early Access period which skyrocketed it to the very top of the Steam charts, PlayerUnknown's Battleground has now finally and officially released. However, just because the beta tag has been removed doesn't mean the performance is any less of a concern, so make sure you bear that in mind if you decide to join in and see what PUBG is all about.

As far as content is concerned, you'll be glad to hear that the full release was accompanied by a massive update. There is now a brand new map by the name of Miramar that currently has a higher chance of being selected, five new weapons to toy around with, three new vehicles to inevitably crash and flip over, the ability to vault and climb over small obstacles, and perhaps most importantly of all, a variety of weapon changes that will make long-range gunfights just a bit more skillful.

After a variety of 'subtle' hints and teasers, Creative Assembly has now finally announced Total War: Warhammer 2's very first faction DLC. As you might expect, the new faction will be the chariot and monster focused Tomb Kings, a fan-favorite that has been requested ever since Total War: Warhammer 1 first made its way onto Steam.

Unlike the previous faction packs, however, the Tomb Kings will bring with them a bit more content. You can expect to see a variety of new units including four new Legendary Lords, unique campaign mechanics that revolve around the cursed Books of Nagash, their very own resources and research options, and naturally, a whole host of new battlefield strategies. The recently posted trailer won't exactly tell you much about the gameplay, but if you're just wondering what the Tomb Kings have to offer I think it'll do quite nicely. Have a look, it's a fun video:
