Prey's recent Mooncrash DLC has added a brand new new roguelike game mode

If you're a fan of Prey's combat system and you're eager to squeeze out a few more hours of enjoyment out of it, you might want to check out the newly released Mooncrash DLC as it offers just that. In the most basic sense, the Mooncrash DLC brings with it a new roguelike game mode that will semi-randomly create and populate a world for you to explore, loot, and hopefully escape.

At the beginning you will start with only one playable character, but as progress through the somewhat limited story you will be able to unlock five characters in total. As you might expect, you will have to escape the base with all five characters in other to win, but here's where things get tricky: the world is persistent! So in order to succeed you will not only have to play well, but you will also need to put in a bit of thought into your routes in order collect all of the important items and supplies.

The free-to-play Elder Scrolls: Blades has been announced for mobile, PC and consoles

While you wait for any sort of The Elder Scrolls VI news to finally arrive, you might want to check out newly announced Elder Scrolls: Blades. It's essentially a free-to-play RPG designed with mobile in mind, though it will be playable on pretty much anything, a tradition it has continued on from Skyrim.

Usually I wouldn't even comment on mobile games since the vast majority of them just don't seem that appealing, but the Elder Scrolls: Blades genuinely looks like a good bit of fun. Not something you'd play for long stretches of time, mind you, but much like Fallout Shelter I can see it being a convenient distraction every once in a while. My only real worry is how the microtransactions will be handled given that it's a free-to-play game, but I suppose we'll find out more as Elder Scrolls: Blades moves closer towards it's Fall release.

Warframe's The Sacrifice update has added Excalibur Umbra, a cinematic story quest, and an improved UI

After a bit of a wait, Warfarame's storyline has now finally moved forward with the addition of The Sacrifice chapter. As expected, in order to access the new chapter you will first need to complete The Second Dream, The War Within, Chains of Harrow and the Apostasy Prologue. None of these quests are terribly long, so don't feel discouraged if you still have to complete a couple of them before diving into The Sacrifice chapter.

Besides the new storyline, The Sacrifice update has also added Excalibur Umbra as a 'new' warframe to toy around with, new gear and customization options, and perhaps most importantly, the first part of the brand-new UI update. You can expect to see customizable UI themes, a revamped inventory system, updated vendor menus, new UI sounds, and a whole bunch of similar changes.

Killing Floor 2 and its new Treacherous Skies update are free to try out on Steam for the next 2 days

Killing Floor 2's Treacherous Skies update has now arrived, bringing with it a whole bunch of new content. There's two new maps to explore, three powerful new robot enemies to contend with, four new weapons to tear said enemies apart with, and perhaps most importantly, the ability for players to upgrade their weapons to Tier 5. The latter will cost you a fair bit of dosh and will increase the weapon's weight, but it will also give you a considerable amount of extra damage, thus ensuring you can make pretty much any weapon work.

For those of wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, allow me to share with you the recently posted the trailer. It's fairly short, but it'll give you a pretty darn good idea of what to expect from the new update. Have a look:

Hearthstone's Taverns of Time event has now brought in a bunch of cool new cards into Arena

If you haven't touched Hearthstone in a while, or if you're mostly a Constructed player, you might want to go and give the Arena mode another chance as the new Taverns of Time special event is quite an enjoyable one. It has brought with it 28 new and rather ridiculous cards to toy around with, cards that have completely reshuffled the balance of power among the heroes.

The addition of overpowered cards might sound like a bad thing, and to be perfectly honest I can definitely see myself agreeing with that viewpoint, but thankfully this whole event and its cards will only remain active for a couple of weeks, until July 2nd. So while the new cards may completely reshape the Arena landscape, at least you can rest easy with the knowledge that next month they'll be well and truly gone. Until then, however, I would highly recommend embracing the nonsense and just having a bit of fun with the significantly increased power levels.

Vermintide 2's recent update has finally corrected the widespread "Error 1342" crashing issue

By Ash

Vermintide 2's Update 1.1 brought with it an absolute ton of new cosmetics, daily quests, achievements with actually interesting rewards, as well as significantly improved crafting speeds. While all of that was and still is a great addition, the update unfortunately also brought with it the now infamous "Error 1342" which would frequently kick players out of the game while crafting, completing levels, or sometimes even simply logging in.

With that in mind, I'm very happy to announce that Fatshark has now finally identified and corrected the issue. In other words, you can now craft as quickly as you want without having to constantly restart the game! That said, I would advise against re-rolling Charms right now because there appears to be a bug that prevents them from gaining the extremely valuable Skaven+Chaos damage combination.

Quake Champions is completely free to grab on Steam until June 18th

If you have an itch only oldschool Arena shooters can scratch, you should probably go visit a doctor, but before you do you also might want to check out Quake Champions as it's completely free to grab until June 18th. Simply head on over to Steam, click on that shiny green "Install Game" button, and you'll be gibbing enemies in no time.

Perhaps most importantly of all, if you log in before the June 18th deadline you will be able to keep playing even after the free weekend is over. From what I can figure out you'll still need to either purchase or grind out all of the additional characters, but as far as getting a taste of what Quake Champions has to offer, this free trial is most certainly a good start.
