PC version of Monster Hunter: World will be getting its second major update on October 5th - The Autumn Harvest Fest

Unlike the previous update that brought in an iconic monster for us to fight, Monster Hunter: World's upcoming The Autumn Harvest Fest will focus more on offering a variety of cosmetics to collect, themed quests to solve, and naturally, even more weapons and armor to toy around with. And since we're entering Halloween season, you might also be glad to hear that we'll be getting plenty of spooky cat-themed decorations to brighten up the Gathering Hub.
The whole event will only last until October 18th, so if you want to collect all of the new armor sets you'll want to start questing as soon as possible. On the other, if you don't particularly care about Halloween and the costumes that come with it, there will also be plenty of in-game boosts to spice the event up. Expect to receive a free ticket to adjust your character's gender and appearance, additional vouchers and better login bonuses, as well as daily sales on in-game items and services (including the always-useful Workshop)!
Minecraft: Dungeons is an upcoming spin-off action-adventure inspired by classic dungeon crawlers

[Update #2]: The release date for Minecraft: Dungeons has been pushed back from April 2020 to May 26th on all platforms.
[Update]: Minecraft: Dungeons' latest developer update showed off a variety of environments, as well as Mojang's plans for the levels themselves.
While Minecraft is without a doubt an amazing game, especially when you load it up with more mods than you can possibly know what to do with, it has always lacked a certain sense of adventure for me as there is very rarely any sort of reward for your efforts. Sure, you could find an abandoned mineshaft filled with spiderwebs and long-overgrown tracks, but it's almost never going to be anything more than that. There's never going to be a strange portal at the very end of it, or even a random boss you might need to solve a few puzzles to unlock, and that is a real shame.
If you share my sentiment, you might be interested to hear that Mojang has now officially announced Minecraft: Dungeons - a brand new action-adventure spin-off inspired by classic dungeon crawlers. As you might expect from that description alone, Minecraft: Dungeons will have you brave "wildly varied levels" either solo or with a group of friends, tackle all sorts of new enemies and traps, scour all corners of the earth for treasure and equipment, and naturally, beat a big bad boss at the very end.
Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a new isometric RPG that tasks you with establishing your very own kingdom

Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a newly released isometric RPG with a bit of a twist on the classic formula. Instead of simply wondering the land in search of adventure, glory and loot, you will be tasked with establishing your very own kingdom in the unsurprisingly hostile Stolen Lands. To do this you will need to recruit various companions, deal with all of the local threats, establish a trade hub in the middle of nowhere, and naturally, engage in good ol' fashioned politics.
While the recently posted launch trailer doesn't exactly go in-depth on any of these features, it should still give you a decent idea of what to expect. So if you're itching for a new RPG to dive into, have a look at what Pathfinder: Kingmaker brings to the table:
Hitman 2's newest Colombia map trailer shows off some treacherous swamps and a very angry hippo

Hitman 2 is set to arrive this November 13th, and thankfully, it will not be using its predecessor's episodic format. So once it finally arrives you will be able to enjoy all of the missions from the get-go, while the post-launch content will come in the form of new Elusive Targets, cosmetics, and most likely DLCs with new maps to mess around with.
I can't tell you anything about the DLC maps as the developers probably haven't even started working on them just yet, but what I can show you is a preview of the swampy and treacherous Colombia map. Have a look, it seems like quite an interesting one:
Absolver's Downfall update has added a co-op PvE mode and a new fighting style based on Bruce Lee

[Update]: The Absolver team is now working on Sifu, a singleplayer martial arts roguelike with a bit of a mystical twist!
Absolver is a martial arts RPG with the focus quite firmly placed on melee battles, though with the combat style being a bit of an interesting mixture between an action-RPG and a fighting game. In other words, instead of using predefined skills and combos like you would in your average fighting game, in Absolver you are able to customize your fighter's entire arsenal including combos, blocks, dodges, and the list goes on.
If you're not a massive fan of PvP but you love the idea of this kind of skill-based combat, you might be glad to hear that the new Downfall update has now added a lengthy co-op PvE mode. Each run through the Adalian Mines is procedurally generated and features a variety of newly upgraded enemies, including three large-scale boss fights, so if you're up for smacking around a nearly endless supply of bad guys, this new update has you covered.
Linux and Mac versions of Total War: Three Kingdoms will be arriving shortly after the PC, in spring of 2019
- By Ash
- in News
After the extravagant Total War: Warhammer games, the mainline series will once again be going in a historical direction with Total War: Three Kingdoms this March 7th. The macOS and Linux ports, however, will be arriving shortly after launch of the PC version. The exact date hasn't been given just yet, but you can definitely expect them to arrive in spring of 2019, unlike some of the other Total War ports which took quite a while to finish.
While Three Kingdoms will indeed be a historical game, it is worth mentioning that it will also have a separately balanced "Romance" mode that fully embraces some of the more mystical elements that permeate the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story. So whether you're a fan of realistic strategy or Dynasty Warriors inspired ridiculousness, there will be a game mode dedicated to that sort of playstyle.
Depth of Extinction is a newly released turn-based tactics RPG heavily inspired by XCOM 2

Depth of Extinction is a newly released turn-based tactics RPG that's all about exploring an underwater world filled with randomized storylines and missions, as well as engaging in XCOM 2 styled combat should anything ever do something as silly as stand in your way. As far as your loyal soldiers are concerned, you will be able to choose from 10 different classes, each of which come with their own unique skillset which you can then further enhance through a variety of armor and weapons.
It's a rather familiar concept, but if you're curious about how Depth of Extinction manages to translate all of it into gameplay, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. Have a look, it's a fairly short video:
