[Update #2]: After three years in Early Access, Baldur's Gate 3 has now launched to overwhelming praise!

[Update]: Larian Studios have now released an extended gameplay preview for Baldur's Gate 3 and confirmed that the combat will be turn-based rather than real-time.

A little while ago Larian Studios, the developers behind the truly excellent Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2, released a simple teaser website pointing towards some sort of mysterious sequel. Or at least that would be the case if the information-hungry players didn't rummage through absolutely everything they could and ran across multiple mentions of Wizards of the Coast and Baldur's Gate 3!

However, while the announcement might not come as much of a surprise, I am still extremely happy to say that Larian Studios is officially working on Baldur's Gate 3! Here's the announcement trailer, it's quite an interesting one to say the least:

  • Divinity: Original Sin 2
  • Baldur's Gate 3
  • E3 2019

According to new rumors, Blizzard is working on Diablo 4 and a story-focused Overwatch game

While they got somewhat buried under the slue of new announcements, quite a few rumors surfaced yesterday about Blizzard canceling one of their games after two years of internal development. No official explanation was given, but it would appear that the canceled game was a Starcraft themed FPS, possibly Blizzard's second attempt at the once greatly anticipated Starcraft: Ghost.

However, that was not everything that came as a part of the recent rumor mill. According to some of the now-deleted comments and the often-accurate Jason Schreier, the developers on this canceled project are not being let go from the company, but are instead being shifted towards two upcoming games: Diablo 4 and an Overwatch-themed spin-off.

[Update #2]: Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's latest preview shows of the vast majority of monsters we'll get to fight against, and unsurprisingly, they're all pretty cool!

[Update]: The PC version of Monster Hunter World - Iceborne will be coming in January 2020!

While Monster Hunter: World certainly has a story, I wouldn't exactly call it an important part of the gameplay. It's mostly just there to slowly guide you through all of the various monsters, as well as to showcase which ones you should really be worried about!

With that in mind, you shouldn't too surprised to hear that Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's story trailer has continued that trend by mostly being a showcase of the interesting new locations and monsters we'll get to fight. Have a look, it's quite an interesting one:

In an announcement that I must admit came as a great surprise, GOG and Blizzard recently teamed up to re-release Warcraft 1, Warcraft 2 and Diablo. Best of all, each of the three games arrived without any sort of DRM attached to them!

The good news doesn't end there, however, as GOG has now also included Diablo's Hellfire expansion free of charge. And yes, this includes both current and future owners of the original Diablo!

[Update #2]: Fatshark has now released a lengthy developer update detailing their plans for the Winds of Magic expansion, as well as the future of Vermintide 2.

[Update]: Vermintide 2 is getting a fully-fledged 4v4 Versus mode!

Vermintide 2 studio Fatshark is currently working on the new Beastmen-focused Winds of Magic expansion, but it seems that might not be the only thing they're working on! According to the most recent press release, Fatshark will soon announce "something new" in the Vermintide 2 universe.

World of Warcraft: Classic beta is increasing the level cap to 40 and opening up Arathi Basin

[Update]: World of Warcraft: Classic is now also getting the legendary Alterac Valley battleground!

If you've been lucky enough to score a World of Warcraft: Classic beta key, you'll be glad to hear that the level cap has now been increased to 40. In other words, not only will you now have access to a bunch of new zones, you will also be able to purchase your very first (and also very expensive) mount!

As far as the new zones are concerned, you will now be able to level up in places like Stranglethorn Vale, Desolance, Arathi Highlights, and more. Personally, I'd highly recommend going to Stranglethorn Vale as not only is it one of the most interesting zones out of the bunch, but it's also likely to be a hive of PvP activity!

[Update #3]: The 'circle' damage has now been greatly increased in Elite Queue in order to prevent camping.

[Update #2]: Respawn has now also announced the contents of the upcoming Season 2!

[Update]: Respawn has announced the list of newly introduced bugs they're currently working on squashing.

After a few months of minimal changes, Apex Legends has now received a fairly massive update. There's a bunch of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, a variety of challenges that offer cosmetic rewards, two exp boosting events, and perhaps most importantly, a brand new Apex Elite mode.

When it comes to the new challenges and cosmetics, they're all pretty simple to acquire. Battle Pass owners will get the new legendary Wraith and R301 skins for free, while two wins will allow you to grab a legendary Triple Take skin, five Top 5 finishes an epic Bloodhound skin, while reaching Top 5 in the Apex Elite match will also let you snatch an epic G7 Scout skin. The skins are all pretty cool, so do make sure to finish up all of the challenges before the go away!
