[Update]: The upcoming Wastelanders free update will finally add friendly human NPCs, choices with some real consequences, and naturally, a bunch of new content to explore.

Fallout 76 arrived back in November, and unfortunately it did so alongside a plethora of issues. There were technical problems to contend with, the PvP was poorly though out out, the world was lacking in interesting storylines that usually define Fallout games, the enemy variety was somewhat lacking, and the list goes on for quite a while.

With that in mind, you might be glad to hear that Bethesda is not giving up on Fallout 76 just yet. Instead, they have now announced their plans for the entirety of 2019, with the focus being on what's coming in the near future. So if you're curious, here's what Fallout 76 will be getting throughout March, April and May:

March 12 - New Features: Brewing and Distilling – Go on a new quest to discover the secrets of the forbidden brew Nukashine and bring the party back to your C.A.M.P with new brewing and distilling systems and recipes.

March 19 - New Seasonal Event: Fasnacht Parade – Chase away Old Man Winter and quicken the coming of spring with the ancient festival of Fasnacht! Join the celebration and complete this new limited-time event to earn unique rewards in the form of festive Fasnacht Masks.

March 26 New Game Mode: Survival – This all-new game mode brings a higher-stakes PvP experience with fewer restrictions, increased rewards, and new challenges plus all the original content of Adventure Mode.

April 9th - New Quests: Shear Terror! – Uncover the ‘encryptid’ secrets of Appalachia in a new series of quests and encounters to separate monsters from myths.

April 9-16 - New Features: C.A.M.P. Decorating, Player Vending, Functional Camera – Use items from your stash to decorate your C.A.M.P. Build vending machines and flag items for sale. Simply set your prices and walk away to continue your adventures in Appalachia, being sure to capture all your favorite memories using the new functional camera. The vending machines do all the work, you just need to count the caps.

May 7 - New Quests: Ever Upwards – Journey to the deepest reaches of the woods with new stories for the legendary Pioneer Scouts. Earn merit badges, climb the ranks, and earn a customizable backpack for increased utility.

May 23 - New Features: Legendary Vendor and Scrapping – Locate the mysterious Purveyor to exchange and scrap your unwanted legendary items for new legendary gear. For every star rating on a legendary item you scrap, increase your chances to get the legendary weapon or armor of your dreams.

As for the distant future, you can expect to see a brand new game mode in summer, two new high-level raids to mess around with, as well as a new prestige system that allows you to reset your levels and start with powerful new abilities. And in the fall of 2019, Bethesda will be adding their "biggest and most ambitious" update yet. The details are obviously few and far between, but you can expect to see a new main questline, factions, events, features and even a few more "surprises".

You can learn a little bit more about these upcoming features, as well as Fallout 76 itself, over at the official roadmap. I can only hope it'll be enough to turn Fallout 76 around and make it the game everyone expected it to be.
