[Update #2]: All three games have now landed onto Steam alongside free demos.

[Update]: Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human are all coming to Steam this June.

It took a fair bit of time since the original announcement, but all three of Quantic Dream's modern, narrative-driven games have now made their way to PC. Much like its predecessors, Detroit: Become Human brings with it support for 4K resolutions and 60 fps, the ability to play with a gamepad or keyboard & mouse combo, as well as a variety of minor improvements and optimizations.

If you're wondering what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as what the story might be about, allow me to share with you the launch trailer. Have a look, it's fairly short:

Telltale's The Wolf Among Us 2 is now once again in development

[Update]: Telltale Games are working on a story-driven series based on The Expanse TV show.

Once Telltale Games closed down their doors back in 2018, the future of all of their projects was immediately thrown into disarray. Robert Kirkman's Skybound Games soon came to rescue The Walking Dead's final season and brought us all a conclusion to Clementine's story, but sadly the rest of Telltale's repertoire was not so lucky.

Quite a lot of time has gone by since then, and with no good news coming out of Telltale, I and many others rightly assumed that this was the end of the story. So you can imagine my surprise when I opened up my email earlier today only to realize that the development on The Wolf Among Us 2 has started once again!

[Update]: Vampire: The Masquerade - Shadows of New York has been announced as a standalone sequel!

Not to be confused with the upcoming Bloodlines 2, Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York is a newly released visual novel that tells the tale of an age-long conflict between the traditionalist Camarilla (they uphold the masquerade) and the fiercely independent Anarchs. You, a fledgling vampire in service of one of the clans, will need to figure out just what in the world is happening, as well as how to prevent the conflict from engulfing all of New York.

You can get a bit of an idea of how all of this works, as well as what the actual gameplay is like, through one of the recent trailers down below. Have a peek:

Crytek's PvE/PvP hybrid shooter Hunt: Showdown is free to try out until December 16th

Hunt: Showdown is a bit of a curious game as it combines PvE and PvP elements in equal measure. As the name itself would imply, your job will be to hunt down a wide variety of monsters in order to claim their bounty, while also avoiding or attacking your fellow players that are trying to do the same. After all, it doesn't matter who managed to land the killing blow on the monster, what matters is who is left alive to grab the prize!

Like I said, it is a bit of an unusual concept, so allow me to also share one of the more recent gameplay trailers. It should give you a much clearer picture of just what Hunt: Showdown is really all about. Have a gander:

[Update]: It would appear that The Shadow and The Blade has brought with it some rather significant and potentially gamebreaking bugs. On the positive side, Creative Assembly has already announced that they are working on fixing them as quickly as possible!

After an entire week filled with teasers and previews, Total War: Warhammer 2's The Shadow & The Blade DLC has now finally arrived in full. It brings with it Malus Darkblade and Deathmaster Snikch as new and highly unique Legendary Lords, a variety of new units such as the Bloodwrack Medusa and Poisoned-Wind Mortar, as well as a couple of new and interesting heroes like the Eshin Sorcerer and the Dark Elf Master.

While the trailer for The Shadow & The Blade DLC doesn't focus on the units themselves, it will give you a pretty good idea of just what Malus Darkblade is about, as well as how awesome Deathmaster Snikch really is. Have a look:

Shantae and the Seven Sirens is coming to PC and consoles in Spring of 2020

[Update]: The Seven Sirens has now arrived, and I'm pleased to say the reception has been overwhelmingly positive so far!

Shantae and the Seven Sirens is a Metroidvania-styled platformer inspired primarily by the original Shantae games. As you might imagine from that brief description alone, Shantae and the Seven Sirens is all about exploring a wast and interconnected world, transforming into various creatures to defeat enemies and open up new pathways, as well as dancing your way to new abilities.

Right now the first part of Shantae and the Seven Sirens is available exclusively on the iOS, though WayForward is already working on a full PC and console version. The exact release date hasn't been announced just yet, but you can expect to see it on all platforms in Spring of 2020.

Deep Rock Galactic devs have announced their plans for the quickly approaching launch version 1.0

[Update #2]: The latest DRG patch has now heavily reworked the perk system, and so far the new one seems to be a lot better.

[Update]: Just like clockwork, Update 27 has now arrived with a whole bunch of quality-of-life changes, two new enemies, and the ability to let your beard flow freely!

In my eyes, Deep Rock Galactic is the perfect example of how to handle an Early Access game. When it first launched it brought with it a decent amount of content and was mostly free of annoying bugs (the non-hostile kind anyway), after which the developers started releasing a steady stream of major updates, all the while fixing problems and adding features requested by the community.

This trend has continued to this very day as Ghost Ship Games have just recently announced all of the important additions coming with Update 27 at some point this month. More interestingly, however, the developers have also revealed that Deep Rock Galactic is quickly approaching its 1.0 version and that it will most likely be launching in the second quarter of 2020!
