[Update #2]: After exactly a year in Early Access, Sons Of The Forest's Version 1.0 has now been unleashed!
[Update]: In a bit of an unexpected, though not unwelcome twist, Sons of the Forest has now launched into Early Access instead of going for a 'proper' release.
After spending a fair few years in Steam Early Access, the survival-horror focused The Forest launched back in 2018 to mostly positive reviews. For good reason too, because while The Forest may be slightly janky, it's also a highly immersive experience and one that has stuck with me over the years.
If you've never played it, this would be a pretty good time to dive in as the fancy new sequel, Sons of the Forest, has just received a release date! You can expect to see it unleashed for PC on May 20, 2022, which gives you more than enough time to explore the entirety of the original's forest and the madness that lies beyond.
BioWare's next big Dragon Age game will be a "singleplayer-focused experience"

[Update]: A decade after Inquisition, BioWare is now finally coming back to Dragon Age with The Veilguard.
A few years back live service games became incredibly popular, and so pretty much the majority of big studios tried to get a slice of the pie by adding similar features to their games. Sometimes this move ended up not damaging the game in any meaningful way, and sometimes it resulted in games like Anthem - a confused mess that failed to please either side of the argument.
Thankfully, with the success of purely singleplayer games like Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the pressure to make every single game have grindy multiplayer elements has eased down significantly. So much so that Dragon Age 4, a game that has long-since been rumored to have aforementioned live service elements, has now been confirmed as a single-player focused experience!
Dead Cells is getting a new expansion in early 2022 - The Queen & the Sea

[Update]: The Queen & the Sea expansion has now arrived and so far it's looking quite solid!
It's only been a short while since the Everyone is Here update brought with it a massive assortment of fun crossover items, cosmetics and weapons, and already we have more content coming! This time around we're not talking about a mere update, however, but rather a proper new expansion - The Queen & the Sea.
Much like the previous DLCs, The Queen & the Sea will bring with it two endgame biomes to explore: the Infested Shipwreck and the Lighthouse. These will run in parallel to the High Peak Castle and Throne Room levels, which also means that there will be a challenging boss waiting for you at the very end. So in order to make the experience as memorable as possible, beating the boss will also give you a brand new ending!

[Update #2]: Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 6.1 will mark the beginning of a brand new story.
[Update]: At long last, the Endwalker expansion has now been unleashed in full!
Due to a small delay, the official launch of Final Fantasy XIV's much-anticipated Endwalker expansion has been pushed back to December 7th. However, while the proper launch will only happen in a couple of days, you might be quite interested to hear that the early access phase is already underway!
So if you've pre-ordered Endwalker and are more than eager to experience the new content, you can now simply log in and start playing! Should you run into any sort of trouble, however, I'd recommend hopping over to the the brief FAQ and checking if everything is working correctly with your account.
World of Horror's long-awaited update has added new characters, events and mysteries

[Update #2]: I've now reviewed World of Horror's version 1.0 and I'm happy to say that, despite some issues, it's a highly enjoyable roguelike!
[Update]: It took a while, but World of Horror will be launching on October 19th, 2023!
After an excellent start in Early Access, updates for the Junji Ito inspired horror-adventure World of Horror sadly slowed down significantly. However, now that The Ceaseless Curse update has arrived with a fair bit of new stuff to play around with, I can only hope development will speed up again as I sure could use more 1-bit madness in my life!
Speaking of the new update, The Ceaseless Curse brings with it two new characters with their own unique perks and abilities: the witch and the ex-cultist. Additionally, the update has also added character-exclusive events exploring their backstories and their connections to the story, so expect to see a lot more variety in random events than before.

[Update]: After four years of waiting, Warframe's main storyline has now moved forward with The New War!
Four years have gone by since Warframe's main storyline ended on a massive cliffhanger. During those four years the game has expanded in a variety of different ways, both in terms of gameplay and story, though the cliffhanger was simply never resolved.
Thankfully, the seemingly eternal wait is now slowly coming to an end as Warframe's big December 15th update will bring with it The New War - a lengthy story quest that will finally reveal what's happening with the Sentients, Lotus, as well as the rest of the major factions.
MTG Arena is adding Alchemy - a digital only format that will feature new and rebalanced cards

[Update #2]: MTG Arena's digital-only Alchemy format has now arrived, and with it a whole assortment of new and rebalanced cards.
[Update]: The Alchemy update will also bring with it Historic Brawl bans for Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, Field of the Dead and Agent of Treachery!
In an announcement they were building up towards for nearly a year now, MTG Arena devs have revealed a brand new, digital-only format - Alchemy. It'll essentially function as an offshoot of Standard and will contain the same cards along with a spattering of digital-only additions that will come with each major set.
The biggest difference between Standard and Alchemy, however, will be in balancing. While Standard cards are linked to paper Magic and thus unable to truly change, the Alchemy ones will be digital-only and will thus be frequently rebalanced in order to keep the metagame in an interesting place.
