In celebration of the recently released standalone expansion Aiko's Choice, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun devs have now decided to give away the original for free! So if you're in the mood for a Commandos inspired mixture of stealth and strategy, simply head on over to GOG to grab yourself a copy.
The giveaway will only last for another two days, however, so do make sure to add Shadow Tactics to your account before it's too late. The process is fairly simple, and once you've done it you'll be able to install and play Shadow Tactics whenever you want, so I'd definitely recommend doing it before you forget.

Back in September all of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine's DLC content was released as a free update. Back then I considered it nothing more than one last hurrah from an awesome game, but as it turns out it may have been a teaser of something quite exciting - a brand new sequel!
You heard that right! Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have now come out to announce Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - a third-person action game that will see Captain Titus of the Ultramarines face off against hordes upon hordes of Tyranids!

[Update]: The Stone of Madness is a highly stylized stealth/tactics game from the Blasphemous team.
If you're a fan of Blasphemous' blend of Souls-like action and Metroidvania-style exploration, I have some bittersweet news to deliver. The Game Kitchen has just unleashed a chunky free update that offers a whole assortment of new content to explore, though sadly this will also be the very final update for Blasphemous as the team is now going to fully focus on the sequel.
In terms of gameplay details, the Wounds of Eventide update brings with it new levels, bosses, items and secrets to explore around for. Most importantly of all, there is also a brand new "fate" for Cvstodia to uncover - a series of events that will lead directly into the 2023 sequel.

[Update #2]: After seven years of updates and support, the Dying Light team is finally moving on.
[Update]: As a part of yet another update, Dying Light 1 has upgraded everyone to the Enhanced Edition for free, including The Following expansion!
Someone at Techland must genuinely love the original Dying Light. Even though the sequel is literally two months away, the team has just unleashed another decently sized update for the original! Much like the last time around, the update is mostly here to flesh out the Hellraid DLC with new bits and pieces.
You can expect to see new map sections to explore, a new magic wand weapon, a brand new enemy to use said weapon on, as well as two new quests to undertake. As for what exactly the new story will be about, that you can find out through the brief snippet that came with the update:

[Update #2]: In celebration of the series' seventh anniversary, Fatshark is both giving away Vermintide 2 and unleashing a brand new map for us to explore!
[Update]: Vermintide 2 is celebrating its four-year anniversary this March 2022 with a big sale and the always fun A Quiet Drink map.
Even though Warhammer 40k: Darktide is set to arrive early next year, Fatshark doesn't seem to be slowing down with the Vermintide 2 updates! Last time around they beefed up the free Chaos Wastes expansion with new cosmetics and challenges to overcome, while the newest update has now brought in the mighty Warrior Priest as a DLC career for Saltzpyre.
Before we get into the meat of things, allow me to share with you two of the trailers. The first is the cinematic one setting up the whole premise behind the Warrior Priest, while the second one is the classic gameplay trailer that will give you a better idea of what it all looks like in action. [Update]: Sam & Max's third and final season, The Devil's Playhouse, is getting remastered in 2023.
After creating a remarkably good remaster of the original Sam & Max Save the World, Skunkape Games have now done exactly the same for the series' second season. Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space brings with it support for modern resolutions, dynamic lighting and improved lip sync, greatly improved visuals and character models, as well as couple of extra locations and music tracks to spice things up.
Since Sam & Max is one of those games that relies heavily on witty dialogue to carry the whole experience, allow me to stop babbling and instead share with you the remaster's gameplay trailer. It should clue you in quite quickly on whether this is your style of comedy or not. Have a peek:
MTG Arena has added Alchemy - a digital-only format with new and rebalanced cards

[Update #2]: There's even more good things to come - MTG Arena is getting a fresh round of bans and Alchemy-focused balance changes on January 27, 2022!
[Update]: MTG Arena's Innistrad: Midnight Hunt & Crimson Vow double feature draft is coming on January 28, 2022.
In an effort to spice up the current Standard metagame, as well as better utilize the digital space, MTG Arena has now added Alchemy. To put it simply, Alchemy is a digital-only, Standard adjacent format that will feature both new and rebalanced cards.
Today's update has brought with it 63 new-to-Magic cards with themes and mechanics evoking a variety of previous sets, though future additions will be considerably smaller and more focused on the newest set. Good thing too, because otherwise MTG Arena would get a lot more expensive given that the majority of the new cards are either Rare or Mythic Rare.
