[Update #2]: Creative Assembly has now revealed their plans for the massive Update 1.1 and what comes after.
[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3's humble Patch 1.0.2 has now fixed some multiplayer and crash related issues.
As is tradition with pretty much every single Total War game, Total War: Warhammer 3 recently launched alongside a variety of bugs, performance problems and questionable balance choices. So in an effort to correct all of these issues, as well as to let everyone know what's going on, Creative Assembly has now outlined their plans for the next few updates.
First and foremost, there is a small update planned for March 10th, though it's possible it gets delayed until March 17th to ensure nothing goes awry. This update will improve alt+tab stability, fix the unintentionally locked V-Sync, prevent multiplayer battles from desyncing, help improve things for 12th generation Intel processors, as well as sort out some crashes that can occur when the game is installed to a path with non-English characters.

[Update]: The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero has now landed onto PC and consoles, and I'm happy to say the new version is a massive improvement!
It took over a decade of waiting, but the previously PlayStation Portable exclusive The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero will soon be making its way to the West. You can expect to see it launch on September 27, 2022 for PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
What exactly it'll look like, as well as what the story might be about, that you can get a little sneak peek at through the freshly posted trailer. Have a gander:
Relationship-focused RPG Haven has added fully voiced same-sex partners as a part of a free update

[Update]: In another pleasant surprise, The Game Bakers' boss-battling action game Furi is getting a brand new character, six years after its launch!
Unlike The Game Bakers' previous game Furi which was all about non-stop action, Haven is more of an exploration focused RPG about a couple stuck on a mysterious planet. There's still plenty of battles to be had, naturally, but also a variety of tricky decisions to make, arguments to work through, and conversations to enjoy.
Given how the relationship between the two main characters is what the entire story revolves around, the Haven team has now released a chunky free update to help expand your options! So depending on your preference, you can now chose between three different configurations: either a woman and a man, two women, or two men.
Ubisoft's big The Settlers reboot has now been postponed due to negative beta feedback

As a part of a recent Closed Beta, Ubisoft gave a bunch of players the chance to explore The Settlers reboot ahead of its March 17th release date. Unfortunately, or quite fortunately depending on your viewpoint, the beta feedback ended up being remarkably negative and so Ubisoft has now decided to postpone The Settlers until they can polish everything up.
"The recent Closed Beta was a great opportunity for all participating players to share valuable feedback regarding the current state of the game, and we'd like to thank you for your involvement," reads the brief update. "As we went through this feedback, it became clear to our team that the quality wasn't yet in line with the team's vision."

[Update]: The original Risk of Rain is getting a remaster with new content, improved multiplayer and smoother gameplay.
A fair bit of time has gone by since Risk of Rain 2 first arrived, so if you're itching for some new content to sink your teeth into, you'll be pleased to hear that the very first expansion has now been unleashed! The aptly named Survivors of the Void brings with it two new survivors to play around with (Void Fiend and Railgunner), an assortment of new corrupted items that function in strange and interesting ways, as well as a bunch of new enemies, bosses and elites to fight.
You can also expect to see new stages to explore, new interactibles to poke as you run around from scores of enemies, an alternate ending, and most importantly of all, a brand new game mode - the Simulacrum. The new mode is essentially a beefed up horde mode where you'll have to face off against waves upon waves of enemies, with each major victory giving you access to some sort of upgrade in order to keep things fresh and interesting.
Steam Deck's Portal-themed tech demo Aperture Desk Job has now been unleashed for free

Now that the initial batch of orders have been confirmed, Valve's much-anticipated Steam Deck handheld PCs have finally begun shipping. So in an effort to help everyone familiarize themselves with the controls, as well as to showcase just what the Steam Deck is capable off, Valve has now unleashed the free Aperture Desk Job 'game'.
As the brief description will quickly tell you, this is not Portal 3 or anything like it! Yes, Aperture Desk Job is set in the same universe and shares the shame style of humor, but it's more of an amusing tech demo than a fully fledged game. In fact, Aperture Desk Job will likely take you a mere 30 minutes to complete, which is probably a good thing as it ensures it doesn't overstay its welcome.

[Update]: The Tunnels of Terror expansion has now arrived, and I'm happy to say that it has brought with it some excellent quality-of-life improvements.
After a couple of updates mostly focused around rebalancing the combat, the Back 4 Blood team has now finally set their sights on new content. As such, you can expect to see Tunnels of Terror, the very first of the planned DLCs, arrive this April 12, 2022 for both PC and consoles.
While the details are few and far between, Tunnels of Terror will bring with it three new zombie variants (the Ripper, Shredder and Urchin), as well as two new Cleaners: Sharice who seems to be a firefighter and is likely to be melee focused, as well as Heng who looks like a fisherman or some sort of outdoorsy type and will probably have a support role.
