EA's Origin Access is now available across Europe for €3,99

When Origin Access went live earlier this month it launched with only a couple of regions supported, those being the US, Canada, UK and Germany.

And now after a good few weeks of waiting the rest of Europe can join in on the offer as well, and what an offer it is. I know a lot of people have an irrational hatred for Origin and all things EA but believe me when I say that Origin Access is well worth checking out because for €3,99 you get a ton of value. Here's what's included:

Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade is out on Steam Early Access with a small chunk of the planned game

[Update]: Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade will be closing down its doors in September 2021.

Back when Eternal Crusade was first being announced it was labeled as a massively multiplayer third person shooter where four factions (Space Marines, Chaos, Eldar and Orcs) would vie for supremacy on a massive map with Tyranid attacks occurring every now and then to even out the odds.

The Eternal Crusade entering Steam Early Access today is a much different beast entirely, choosing to focus on smaller scale battles between Space Marines and Chaos as the developers work out the kinks in the gameplay. All of the things mentioned above are still planned for release though it might be a while before they arrive.

Firefall's update 1.6 is set to bring new life to the game

If there ever was a competition for the most mismanaged gaming project Firefall would easily be one of the top contenders. During its development it was scrapped and rebuilt multiple times with each iteration being focusing on a completely different spectrum on gameplay while its marketing campaign spent millions of dollars on absolutely insane stunts such as the infamous Firefall Bus which couldn't even drive.

Thankfully the current team behind Firefall seems a lot more sane and willing to make the game work, as you can see in the recently released Razor's Edge update (1.6) which brought with it a reworked story campaign, new equipment system, plenty of new missions and raids, an arena pvp mode and many more changes. Here's a quick overview:

Torment: Tides Of Numenera is now out on Steam Early Access

Torment: Tides Of Numenera is a spiritual successor to one of my favorite RPGs of all time, Planescape: Torment, and much like its predecessor it features a captivating story, compelling characters and a strange world to explore.

After being successfully Kickstarted a while back Torment: Tides Of Numenera is now finally available for the general public to play as it has released on Steam: Early Access. I had the chance to play it over the weekend so here's my brief summary of the current beta version:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan has been officially announced by Platinum Games

This announcement doesn't come as a massive surprise given that there was a leak from a ratings website a little while back that told us of the existence of an upcoming TMNT game but now we finally have an actual glimpse of the game itself.

The upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan is being made by Platinum Games, most famous for Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengenace, and is set to arrive in the summer of 2016. Here's the announcement trailer:

Age of Mythology is getting a new expansion called Tale of the Dragon in a few days

I'm not exactly sure what started this trend of taking old school RTS classics and improving upon them with modern expansions but its one that I can definitely get behind.

After working on two modern Age of Empires expansions the aptly named Forgotten Empires studio will be releasing a brand new expansion for Age of Mythology titled Tale of the Dragon this January 28th. Here's a short overview of what you can expect to see:

Scott Cawthon, the creator of FNaF World, has pulled his latest RPG game from Steam due to negative feedback

If you haven't been following the story, Five Nights at Freddy's themed RPG FNaF World showed up on Steam a full month before its official release date in a rather unfinished state which resulted in so many complaints Scott Cawthon, the creator of the FNaF franchise, went on to publicly apologize for it.

And Scott, being the stand up guy that he is, simply couldn't continue selling FNaF World amidst so many complaints so he has pulled the game from Steam and offered full refunds to everyone, regardless of time played. Here's the announcement message:

Mighty No. 9 has been delayed a third time

Oh how things have changed. Back when Mighty No. 9's Kickstarter first launched everyone was excited about the prospect of a new Megaman game without any corporate nonsense blocking its development and now, three delays and a heavily mismanaged campaign later, most of that excitement has turned to doubt and anger.

Mighty No. 9 was supposed to launch this February 9th but due to problems with the network modes and porting to various platforms its being delayed until Spring 2016. Here's what Keiji Inafune, the main man behind the game, had to say about the delay:

World's Dawn is a Harvest Moon inspired life sim

The Harvest Moon series has always been an oddity for me. I'm the type of person that enjoys high-paced competitive games yet for some reason I've spent far more hours than I am willing to admit tending to my farm and raising innumerable hordes of chickens.

There aren't many life sim games on the PC, if there are any at all, so I'm really happy to tell you that World's Dawn, a Harvest Moon inspired life sim, is making its way to Steam today (January 25th). Here's the trailer:

Yandere Simulator has recently been banned from Twitch for unknown reasons

If this is your first time hearing about it, Yandere Simulator is a bit of an insane upcoming game where you take control of a psychotic schoolgirl who has a crush on a fellow student and will do anything to ensure that he doesn't end up with any other girl. In essence its a hitman game, just with a lot more schoolgirls and torture.

The reason I'm mentioning Yandere Simulator now is because it recently got banned from Twitch, one of the rare few games that ever got that sort of treatment. And according to a video posted by the main developer himself he can't even get a response from Twitch on the issue. Here's the video:
