Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Castlevania inspired action-platformer headed by Koji Igarashi, a veteran designer with numerous Castlevania games under his belt. Ever since the project successfully secured $5,545,991 via Kickstarter it has received a steady slew of updates, but the most recent one is particularly exciting.
The reason behind this is that the latest update has an actual in-game level to show off, rather than just concept art or rough animations on a dull gray background. The first level is set on the Galleon Minerva during a raging storm, and if you're interested in seeing it here's the video in all of its early alpha glory:

During the recent "State of the Studio" blog post Remedy Entertainment, the folks behind Quantum Break and Alan Wake, had a couple of exciting announcements to share. The good news is that after the success of Quantum Break the team now has enough resources to develop two new games simultaneously, the first of which has been in the works for a while now.
The somewhat bad news, however, is that neither of those those two games is the long awaited Alan Wake sequel. Here's a couple of excerpts from their blog post and a brief explanation of the Alan Wake situation:

After a couple of days filled with wild rumors Ubisoft has finally confirmed the existence of Watch Dogs 2. It is set to arrive on November 15 and bring with it a brand new protagonist, a brilliant young hacker by the name of Marcus Holloway. Unlike Aiden, the protagonist from Watch Dogs 1, the plan with Marcus is to make him an expressive and relatable character, someone the players can actually get along with.
This whole announcement comes in the form of a rather long and detailed "premier video", so if you're interested in some Watch Dogs 2 footage and developer commentary I would recommend you check it out:

After a long, long wait the first bits of gameplay footage for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided have finally started to appear. The one showcased today centers around Adam Jensen's trip through Prague in search of a skilled underground augmentation specialist named Vaclav Koller.
As you might imagine, the task turns out to be far more difficult than anyone could've imagined, and soon enough Jensen will find himself embroiled with not just the local mafia, but the corrupt law enforcement as well. You will find the 17-minute long video right below, and don't worry about spoilers, the developers obscured most of the plot details outside of the ones necessary to progress the quest:

The Sun is scorching, the air appears to be made out of 90% water, and the AC has become my lifeline... in other words, summer has arrived. Its not all that bad, however, as GOG's big Summer Sale has just begun, and it represents a splendid reason for not leaving the house.
New deals will arrive every 24 hours, but I would suggest you don't delay as the Witcher 3 is currently 50% off, the classic XCOM games are 75% off, and a whole bunch of classic D&D games are 66% off. As for the sale itself, it will last for 14 days and end on June 22, at 12:59 PM UTC (a rather specific number, I must say).

House of the Dying Sun, previously known as Enemy Starfighter, is a space combat sim that seems to be an intriguing blend between Freespace and Homeworld. The biggest difference when compared to other members of the genre is that you don't control just one ship, but rather an entire fleet you can either order around while piloting your favorite, or jump from one ship to another in an effort to personally turn the tides.
While the official release date is still earmarked for summer you can get a sneak peek at House of the Dying Sun a lot earlier given that its now available on Steam Early Access for €18, which includes the currently ongoing 10% discount. If you're wondering what all of this looks like in action, here's the recently posted launch trailer:

The early days of VR madness are thankfully behind us, and from today onward anyone that orders an HTC Vive will have their unit shipped within 2-3 business days of purchase.
Furthermore, you'll soon be able to grab yourself a Vive from various Microsoft Stores, GameStop, and Micro Center locations across North America. For those of you that have pre-ordered your unit from any of these stores I also have some exciting news - they will begin fulfilling orders this week.

Grim Dawn is a customization-focused ARPG modeled after genre classics such as Titan Quest and Diablo 2. After many, many years in development it had finally opened its doors to the world on February 25, but thankfully its first big content update has been much more timely.
The creatively named Update 1.0.0.4 brings with it a whole bunch of new lore, 5 bosses, a new dungeon, 3 new "Monster Infrequents", as well as 7 new Unique items. Along with this you can expect to see changes to the modding tools, general rebalancing, itemization fixes, and... a foot surgery for the male character in order to shrink down on boot sizes.

After almost a year of rumors Square Enix has officially confirmed the existence of a Final Fantasy 12 remaster: The Zodiac Age. Its set to arrive at some point in 2017 for the PS4, but given that the PC currently hosts the majority of Final Fantasy games I think its safe to assume its going to be ported over as well.
The Zodiac Age will bring with it remastered visuals, true 7.1 surround sound and a remastered soundtrack, a trial mode of some sorts, improved performance and loading times, autosaving, and the Zodiac leveling system. If you're wondering what the new music and graphics look like, here's the recently posted trailer:

[Update]: After a remarkably long wait, the Homeworld series is getting a brand new sequel in late 2022.
After being teased for a couple of weeks now Update 2.0 has finally arrived to the Homeworld Remastered Collection. Rather than simply offer balance changes, Update 2.0 instead brings a complete redesign of numerous systems, as well as large improvements to the modding tools and ship AI.
Ship combat behavior has been greatly improved (especially when it comes to how they line-up in formations), weapons will now use actual balistics (when applicable), and to top it all off, the entire game has been rebalanced in both singleplayer and multiplayer. Bear in mind, however, that due to the sweeping changes brought in with Update 2.0 your mission progress will not carry over, so if you're in the middle of a campaign mission you're unfortunately going to have to restart it.
