Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality artwork

[Update]: High On Life is a remarkably entertaining (and remarkably insane) FPS game from the co-creator of Rick and Morty.

Owlchemy Labs, the folks behind Job Simulator, have just announced that they are working on brand new VR game featuring everybody's favorite drunken scientist - Rick. From what is known so far, the newly announced Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality will only be available for the HTC Vive, though I'd imagine the other platforms will be soon to follow.

If you're wondering what sort of madness you can get up to with Virtual Rick-ality, you'll find an overly long 13-second trailer right below. And yes, there is indeed a plumbus present, everyone owns one after all! Have a look:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered screenshot

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the FPS that basically kickstarted the whole modern military shooter genre, will soon be getting a remastered version with vastly improved graphics and audio quality.

If you're wondering how vast these improvements really are, Activision has recently posted a rather lengthy gameplay video showcasing one of the earlier missions, and I have to say, its looking pretty damn impressive so far. The textures are no longer muddy, shadows seem fairly realistic, the character models and faces are no longer as jagged, and the way the light cuts through the foggy darkness is a massive improvement over the original's presentation. Have a look for yourself:

Hitman's sixth elusive contract - The Twin

Hitman's latest Elusive Target Contract will have you visit the sunny coastal town of Sapienza, though the mission is going to be anything but a vacation. Unlike the previous five Elusive Contracts, the one released today will have you take down a target that only ever travels with their identical twin nearby, and naturally, hurting the wrong one will spell instant doom for your mission.

The twins will be in Sapienza for the next couple of days, so make sure not to delay for too long or you might just miss them and a chance at some nifty cosmetic prizes. Here's a brief mission trailer, courtesy of your handler Diana:

Telltale's Batman and Catwoman

Telltale has come out today to announce that the first episode of their story-focused Batman series will release digitally in August for the PC, Mac, consoles, iOS and Android. A physical edition, containing a special Season Pass Disc, will be available for purchase on September 13 in North America and September 16 in Europe.

There currently isn't an official trailer available, or much information at all, but the good news is that the project leads from The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands will be plying their trade on the first season of Batman as well, so here's to hoping it ends up being just as good as those two.

Guts from the Berserk video game

For those of you that might not know, Berserk is a long-running manga series that deals with the darkest sides of human nature. Its characters and story are fascinating, its artwork visceral, and there is absolutely no sugarcoating when it comes to portraying the most gruesome parts of warfare.

Given its pedigree, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that there is a Dynasty Warriors styled Berserk game currently in development. If you're wondering what it looks like, here's a relatively recent trailer that shows off a bit of the carnage:

No Man's Sky screenshot featuring a brilliant sunset

While No Man's Sky is fairly well known for its gorgeous art style and "18 quintillion planets", I'm fairly sure you'd be hard pressed to actually describe what's it all about, and more importantly, what exactly can you do on your journey, besides poking space-cows.

With the release date creeping ever closer the folks behind No Man's Sky have decided to create a series of trailers showcasing each portion of the game and hopefully explaining, once and for all, what exactly No Man's Sky is all about. Here's the first of these trailers, titled simply as Exploration:

Dota 2's Legion Commander comic screenshot

Dota 2 has recently been updated to version 6.88b, and while the various buffs and nerfs are most welcome, the short comic that came along with it is far more fascinating. Throughout the freely available Tip of The Spear comic we can get a look into Legion Commander's past, including a hilarious cameo from her Warcraft 3 equivalent and a brief explanation on why exactly she appears horseless in Dota 2, as well as a rather obvious foreshadowing.

From page 21 and onward you can quite clearly see an ominous smoke cloud appear in the distance, something that wouldn't usually be amiss on a battlefield, if it wasn't for the simple fact that this one is pale-green! On its own this ending might look like a cliffhanger, here simply to tease a future comic, but in reality its actually a prelude to the events that happen in Legion Commander's official lore. Here's the full story, and fair warning, its a wee bit lengthy:

Hearthstone's new Shaman hero, Morgl the Oracle

Playing against Shaman these days can be a pretty frustrating experience. If you don't instantly remove their one-drop you will die, if you don't instantly remove their two-drop you will die, and if you don't remove their coined 4-mana 7-7 you are still going to die!

Thankfully, it does appear that Blizzard is aware of these concerns as they have recently released a brand new Shaman Hero, an adorable little Murloc that goes by the name of Morgl the Oracle, perfectly designed to destroy you in the most pleasant of ways. Don't believe me? Here's a trailer showcasing Morgl's "fearsome battle-cry":

Dragon Age: Origins' screenshot featuring a dragon

In a bit of an unexpected move, especially since Origin is a direct competitor, EA has teamed up with GOG to release DRM-free versions for a couple of their games.

Best of all, they haven't just chosen random pieces of shovelware, but rather some pretty damn good games. As you can probably guess from the title alone, Dragon Age: Origins, Dead Space and SimCity 3000 were the chosen trio and they can now be found DRM-free on GOG. That's not where the good news ends, however, as all of them are currently on a steep discount to celebrate their DRM-free debut!

Project Tiger, a homage to Destiny

While the odds of Destiny ever appearing on the PC are highly unlikely, fan remakes and demakes don't have such restrictions to conform to. This is where Project Tiger, a 2D action sidescroller made as an homage to Destiny, comes into the picture.

Project Tiger was created by Brenton Whitwell over the course of a few months in celebration of "Bungie Day", with the end result being a charming, albeit rather short game. If you'd like to give it a look before downloading, here's a brief gameplay trailer from the developer himself:
