While not as exciting as their cinematic shorts, Blizzard has been fairly consistently releasing Overwatch comics over the past few months, slowly but surely fleshing out the lore and its characters.
The one released today, however, is a bit special since it doesn't serve as an introduction to a single character, but rather as a brief look into the relationship between Soldier 76, Ana and Reaper, Overwatch's original members with a rather... shady history. You can read the full comic online by heading over here, or if you're so inclined you can get the PDF version by heading over here instead.

While I wish they didn't exist at all, pre-order bonuses have only become more commonplace over the years and as such it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Civilization 6 will be having one as well.
The Aztec civilization and its leader, Montezuma will be arriving with the launch version of Civilization VI as an exclusive pre-order item, though everyone will be able to access the faction after 90 days, completely free of charge. It might not be the best system around, but at least they don't expect you to pay for cut content, so that's at least something. On the more positive side, however, the actual gameplay mechanics behind the Aztecs seem to be pretty interesting, as you'll see in the "First Look" trailer below:

Tyranny is an upcoming RPG from Obsidian and Paradox that has a simple, but rather effective premise behind it: What happens with the world if the bad guys prevail in that final, cataclysmic showdown between good and evil?
If you're looking for a detailed answer, I'm afraid you won't find one until Tyranny finally releases at some point in 2016, but if its the gameplay you're curious about, Obsidian has you covered as they have recently done a ~40 minute stream showcasing just that. Here's the Youtube version of the footage, recorded by Gamestation:

After an entire year of basically no content outside of raids and cash-shop items, it appears that ArenaNet has finally awoken from their slumber and are now once again working on the long-awaited Season 3 of the Living Story.
As you'll see in the trailer below, things have definitely not calmed down since the events in Heart of Thorns as there appears to be a new adversary on the rise, one that does not share a direct link with the great dragons. Do be warned before watching, however, as there are some Heart of Thorns spoilers in there, though given how basic the plot is I have little doubt that many of you could guess that the bad guy loses in the end. Life is Strange is a five part episodic adventure made in the style of Telltale's modern games, though with a far greater focus on choices and actual, real consequences. While it does have the occasional weak moment and cringe-worthy dialogue, its one of the best narrative-driven games I've played in a very long time.
If you've never given it a try but feel like it might be the sort of thing you'd be interested in, you're in luck as Dontnod has just made Episode 1: Chrysalis completely free for all platforms. Here's the trailer to give you an idea of what you're getting into:

If you've managed to miss the Steam Summer Sale and are now hungry for some games on the cheap, the latest Humble 2K Bundle 2 might just be what you're looking for.
On the first tier you have the rather excellent The Darkness 2 and Spec Ops: The Line, as well as the less than excellent Duke Nukem Forever, while the higher tiers hold games such as Civilization V, Mafia 2, Battleborn and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. If your interest is piqued, you can check out the bundle by heading over here.

[Update]: Overwatch is getting its very own novel starring Orisa and Efi - The Hero of Numbani.
You don't need much of a story to keep an FPS game interesting, the mechanics will do that on their own. However, when you add a colorful cast of characters and an interesting world to the mix, the whole thing can become far greater than the sum of its parts.
Nowhere is this more apparent than with Overwatch, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Blizzard and Dark Horse Comics have announced a partnership to re-publish the currently available comics, but also create a brand new Overwatch graphic novel and even an art book.

Terraria has received all sorts of updates over the years. New monsters have been added, entirely new biomes with their own mechanics and enemies, unique bosses, and even a hard-mode for those that truly love to slice and dice slime. However, none of those updates have ever brought in the most important feature of them all, the one thing that ties it all together - parties!
Thankfully, with patch 1.3.2 that issue has now been rectified as a whole bunch of party accessories, blocks and mechanics have been added to make your in-game celebrations as jolly as they can be. There's also a couple of bug fixes, balance changes, and a massive rework of the chest management system in there as well, so even if you hate clowns you'll still have something to look forward to.

Obduction, Cyan's spiritual successor to Myst and a rather intriguing adventure game in its own right, has been delayed. Thankfully, its nothing major and the delay will only push its release forward a couple of weeks, to the week of August 22nd to be specific.
The reason behind this delay, as noted in the most recent blog post, is the team's desire to spend a little more time testing out a couple of systems and ensuring the whole thing launches with as few bugs as possible. Here's the full announcement message:
