Dirt 3 Complete Edition screenshot showing a car spinning around a pillar

In order to celebrate the currently ongoing Birthday Sale the Humble Store has decided to offer a free game for everyone to enjoy. As you can probably guess from the tittle alone, the game in question is Dirt 3 Complete Edition.

Whether its any good or not, I have absolutely no idea given that I simply don't care about racing games, but if you do you might as well check it out for the incredibly low price of nothing. But if you need at least a glimpse at the gameplay before deciding if the download times are worth it, here's one of the most recent trailers for the Complete Edition:

Firewatch screenshot showcasing a ranger tower

For those of you that might not know, Firewatch is a stylish and atmospheric narrative-driven adventure game that allows you to explore that rather lovely wilderness of Wyoming. While it was universally praised for its sense of adventure and wonder, the story in Firewatch is designed in such a way that multiple playthroughs are just not as exciting given how much of the narrative depends on the big 'twist'.

If you found yourself feeling the same way you'll be glad to hear that Firewatch has just recently been updated with a free-roam mode! In other words, you're able to wonder through the Shoshone without a single care in the world or a quest objective to bar you way, and best of all, there's even a dynamic day/night and weather cycle. But if you're not familiar with Firewatch and you're now wondering what all of the fuss is about, allow me to show you one of the recently posted trailers:

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon machinegun screenshot

To celebrate their 30th anniversary Ubisoft has decided to offer a variety of free games, with each month bringing with it something new. As you can probably guess from the title alone, the free game for November is the surprisingly excellent and absolutely pants-on-head insane Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

If you're currently wondering why I'm adding so many adjectives to its description, perhaps it would be best if you just check out the launch trailer and see for yourself. Without spoiling too much, let's just say that Blood Dragon is not your usual Ubisoft game... not by a long shot. Anyway, have a look:

Dishonored 2's Outsider and protagonist

With only a couple of days left till release Bethesda has finally unveiled what I can imagine is the final trailer for Dishonored 2. But rather than showcase all of the sneaky tricks you'll be able to employ they have decided to go with a somewhat different approach... one that focuses more on wanton destruction and plenty of bloodshed.

So if you're interested in getting an action orientated look at Dishonored 2, along with the basic story premise and a few tidbits of narration, then this trailer should be perfect for you. Have a look:

Overwatch Tracer vs Torbjorn and Lucio

Overwatch released a relatively short time ago, and already it has become one of the most popular and celebrated games out there. If you ever wanted to figure out why this is the case, you'll be glad to hear that you'll soon have a chance as there is a free weekend on the horizon.

The free-to-play period will last from November 18 to November 21, and give you access to all 22 currently available heroes, all 13 maps, as well as all of the game modes and rewards that come along with them. What I'm trying to say with this is that you will have access to the entire game, no pointlessly locked away content or any such nonsense, just you and a couple of days of shooty fun!

Mass Effect: Andromeda Initiative screenshot

Even though Mass Effect: Andromeda is still many months away, Bioware has decided this is the perfect time to release not just one, but two teaser videos showcasing what Andromeda has to offer. But best of all, one of them is focused around action, while the other is almost entirely focused around lore, so no matter what your preference is you'll be able to find something of interest.

Since it contains a lot more original footage, as well as a brief shot of what I assume is the 'big bad guy', I would recommend starting with the action orientated video. As for spoilers, I would argue that the whole video is edited in such a way that you'll most likely leave with more questions than answers, so feel free to give it a look:

Steam's Discovery Update 2.0 showcase

Ever since Steam opened the floodgates and started allowing quite literally anyone to post their games onto the storefront it became incredibly difficult to discover new and interesting things. Case in point, I haven't impulse-bought a game on Steam for a couple of years now, even though this is something I used to do frequently during the Steam Sales of old. The reason for this is that its simply impossible to stumble upon a hidden gem on Steam these days, you pretty much have to know about it before hand.

Thankfully, it does appear that Valve is aware of this little problem given that they have just recently released the Steam Discovery Update 2.0. While the list of features isn't extremely long, you'll be glad to hear that the new storefront is now focused more on allowing you to personalize what types of games you're interested in, rather than simply spamming you with random nonsense based on a game you played eons ago.

World of Warcraft's Patch 7.2 Priest class mount

After the flaming wreck that was Warlords of Draenor Blizzard promised they would never again let World of Warcraft go on for months without any new content, and much to my surprise they have so far managed to exceed expectations! Patch 7.1 arrived only a couple of weeks ago with quite possibly the best dungeon World of Warcraft has ever seen, and apparently we're going to be getting even more content in the near future as Patch 7.1.5 is set to arrive to test servers later this week.

And if that isn't enough for you, worry not as Blizzard has also announced their plans for Patch 7.2 - an update so massive it appears to one of the biggest World of Warcraft has ever seen. It will bring with it a brand new dungeon and raid, new class specific missions and mounts, weekly PvP events with customized rules, more Artifact Weapon talents and catch-up mechanics for alts, as well as a whole bunch of smaller improvements!

Sombra from Overwatch posing

Its only been a couple of days since Sombra's grand reveal at Blizzcon, and already she is available on the PTR (Public Test Realm). So if you were itching to give the enemy supports nightmares by uncloaking with the business end of an SMG pointing towards their face, you now have the opportunity to do so!

But even if you don't care about Sombra specifically, you still might want to visit the PTR as Blizzard has also added a brand new Arcade Mode. It allows you to duke it out with your enemies in 1-on-1 duels, 3-vs-3 arenas, a variety of Weekly Brawls and special rulesets, as well as on the brand new and Arcade Mode exclusive Echo Point: Antarctica map!

Since Sombra is quite certainly the highlight of this entire PTR update, it would probably be wise for you to at least have a basic understanding of her spells. With that in mind, allow me to show you the relatively recent hero preview:

World of Warcraft: Legion flying in the Broken Isles

World of Warcraft: Legion arrived only three months ago, and already it has received enough new content to rival the entirety of Warlords of Draenor's post-launch updates. Things are going to become even more lopsided in the near future as Blizzard has announced a bunch of new features coming in with Patch 7.1.5.

While Patch 7.1 added Kharazan and Trials of Valor (which isn't live just yet) to bolster Legion's endgame, Patch 7.1.5 is instead focusing on expanding Legion's offering of day-to-day activities. What this means in gameplay terms is that Mists of Pandaria dungeons will soon become available as a part of the Timewalking system, the Brawler's Guild is being expanded with a whole bunch of new battles, some of the legendary items are being rebalanced, and there's even going to be mini-holidays to spice things up every once in a while!
