[Update]: Hearthstone's March of the Lich King expansion has added a brand new class - the Death Knight.
Even though Hearthstone's meta frequently converges on a couple of decks that are significantly more powerful than their counterparts, this latest one has felt especially egregious. After all, there's only so many times a person can fight against the same classes, archetypes and cards over and over and over again before something snaps.
So after seeing all of the complaints, Blizzard has now unleashed Update 24.2.2 as a hotfix in order to address some of the bigger outliers. More changes will most likely be coming in the near future to polish out any rough edges, but with a bit of luck Update 24.2.2 should get the meta into a nice and diverse state so no more massive nerfs will be necessary.

[Update]: The Last Chance event has now arrived, so if there's any skin that you'd like to grab, this would be the time to do so.
Once Overwatch 2 arrives this October, all of your in-game credits from the original will be transferred over. However, while you will still be able to use these credits to purchase some of the fancier cosmetics, you'll most likely have to wait for their associated events to cycle back in order to unlock them, which in the case of the Summer Games skins could be an entire year!
So if there is any sort of skin, voice line or animation you're itching to grab, you'll be happy to hear that Blizzard will be launching the Last Chance event this September 13th. As the name might imply, this event will open up the vaults and allow you to purchase any time-gated cosmetic from any of the seasonal updates.

Once October 1st, 2022 rolls around, Ubisoft will be shutting down online functionality for a whole bunch of their older games, and this also includes Anno 2070. While mostly a singleplayer game, Anno 2070 has a couple of fun onlines features like World Events and Council Elections that can significantly shake up the status quo, so having all of that go away would've been a devastating blow.
Thankfully, that won't be happening as the Anno 2070 devs have now returned to the game for one last patch! The freshly released Update 3.0 has decoupled Anno 2070 from the Ubisoft servers, and in doing so ensured its online functionality will remain active for many years to come. Best of all, the update has also ported Anno 2070 to 64bit, which should make the whole online system a fair bit smoother than before.

[Update #2]: A mere few weeks later MultiVersus Update 1.04 has added Stripe from Gremlins alongside the Halloween event.
[Update]: MultiVersus Patch 1.03 has added Rick Sanchez and doubled exp requirements for early character levels
As a part of the August Update 1.01 the MultiVersus team added Morty as a brand new character and revealed that Rick will be coming in the near future, after which we'd most likely be getting Black Adam and Stripe. So you can imagine my surprise when neither of the three characters were released with today's Update 1.02, but instead we got good ol' Gizmo from Gremlins!
What exactly Gizmo has to offer on the battlefield, as well as how adorable he is in action, that you can find out through the freshly posted gameplay trailer. Have a gander:

[Update #2]: Total War: Warhammer 3's Update 2.3 has added new landmarks, tied AI behavior to difficulty, and rebalanced most factions.
[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3's Update 2.2 will beef up the AI and reduce the number of settlement battles.
As a part of the absurdly gigantic Update 2.0, Total War: Warhammer 3 has added the Immortal Empires combined campaign map, spruced up many of the long-forgotten Total War: Warhammer 2 lords, finally added the missing blood & gore effects, and even reworked the Warriors of Chaos faction from the ground up. Add to that the first-post launch DLC, a variety of quality-of-life improvements and balance changes, and you've got yourself the biggest update the Total War: Warhammer series has ever seen.
Naturally, as you would imagine given the sheer scope of the changes, Update 2.0 has also brought with it a fair few bugs, balance issues and general nuisances. So in order to sort these problems out, as well as to pave the way for a much bigger patch in October, Creative Assembly has now unleashed Update 2.1.

Temtem, much like the Pokemon series from which it draws a great deal of inspiration, is a monster collecting and battling RPG with a bit of exploration thrown in to help keep things interesting. However, unlike Pokemon games that are mostly a singleplayer experience, Temtem is an MMO and as such focuses heavily on player-to-player interactions like trading, adventuring and dueling.
After spending around two years in Early Access, Temtem has now finally been released in full. The launch version brings with it a brand new endgame area with a variety of new activities and challenges to mess around with, the very first season alongside an assortment of balance changes, as well as the all too familiar Battle Pass that comes in both paid and free flavors.

[Update #2]: My Overwatch 2 review is now out, and to put it simply it's a terrible sequel, though thankfully a terrific game!
[Update]: Overwatch 2 has now unveiled its very first support hero - the wall-climbing, fox themed healer Kiriko. The Blizzard team has also taken this opportunity to detail Overwatch 2's Battle Pass, hero unlock system, as well as their plans for future updates.
While the full announcement has not gone out just yet, it looks like Overwatch 2 will be locking new characters behind the free version of its Battle Pass. This information first appeared to us thanks to a recent update to the Overwatch 2: Watchpoint Pack which stated that "as a Season One Premium Battle Pass owner you will automatically receive access to Overwatch's latest hero Kiriko!"
The text has since then been replaced with a much more generic description, most likely because it accidentally spoiled the name of the next hero. However, in a brief comment on Reddit, Overwatch's Commercial Leader Jon Spector did confirm that new heroes will indeed be unlocked through the Battle Pass: "We'll be sharing all details ahead of launch, but want to confirm now that new Overwatch 2 heroes will be available on the free track of the Battle Pass."

If you're in the mood for exploring a dungeon, kicking monsters in the shins and getting unreasonably angry with your friends, you'll be happy to hear that the highly popular board game Munchkin is getting a video game adaptation. While no exact release date has been announced just yet, you can expect Munchkin Digital to arrive at some point this Fall for PC, Android and iOS.
Besides an accurate recreation of the original game, Munchkin Digital will also bring with it a handy tutorial to teach you the ropes, as well as a variety of singleplayer challenges to mess around with. If you don't like the idea of playing board games alone, worry not as Munchkin Digital will also feature cross-platform multiplayer, so finding people to backstab play with should be a breeze.

Coming to us from the studio behind the Souls-like Ashen, the upcoming Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is an open-world action-RPG with a heavy focus on combat. However, instead of going with the usual medieval setting, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is all about smashing through enemies with the combined power of your mighty axe, classy-looking gun and a magical canine companion that really is quite adorable... while it's not munching on someone's face anyway.
What all of this nonsense looks like in action, as well as how closely Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn follows the whole Souls-like formula, that you can check out through the freshly posted gameplay preview. Have a gander:

[Update]: After some rough previews, Company of Heroes 3 has now been delayed to February 23rd, 2023.
Following in the footsteps of its incredibly popular predecessor, Company of Heroes 3 will be a large-scale, World War 2 themed strategy game where you'll need to combine infantry, armor, navy and air forces in order outwit and overwhelm your opponents. If you're mostly in it for the singleplayer experience, the most interesting parts of Company of Heroes 3 will be the two different campaigns.
The first one, set in Italy, will be a highly dynamic sandbox where you alone will have to decide everything from where to move your forces to how to protect your supply lines or even which troops to upgrade and when. As for the second campaign set in Africa, that one will be a fairly linear, story-focused affair that's here to get you accustomed to the gameplay mechanics and their intricacies.
