[Update]: The Summer Games have now arrived alongside a rather hefty balance patch. You can learn more by heading over here.
Overwatch's Summer Games 2018 event is set to arrive later today (August 9th), bringing with it a whole bunch of new and old content to enjoy. Lucioball will be making a return alongside a new stadium set in Busan, all of the previous summer cosmetics will become available at a highly discounted price, and perhaps most importantly for today's topic, we'll be getting a brand new batch of sports-themed cosmetics!
The preview images below are unfortunately a bit shaky when it comes to quality, but worry not as each one will include a link to a brief teaser showing off the cosmetic 'in action'. So without further ado, here are all six of the new cosmetics announced so far:

[Update]: The Summer Games have now arrived alongside a rather hefty balance patch. You can learn more by heading over here.
August has now arrived alongside a massive heatwave, which in Overwatch terms means that the Summer Games 2018 event is just around the corner. To be more specific, the Summer Games will be coming this August 9th alongside numerous new cosmetics, Lucioball and a brand new stadium map set in Busan, South Korea.
The new stadium doesn't appear to be significantly different from the other Lucioball maps, but hopefully it'll have some interesting background elements to help flesh out D.Va's incredibly lacking lore. If you're curious about what the Busan map looks like, and you don't mind the fact that Blizzard is being incredibly coy with the reveal, you'll find a brief teaser over at Twitter.

Death's Gambit is a seemingly Dark Souls inspired action-RPG with a heavy focus on challenging combat. As you might imagine from that sentence alone, this means you'll spend a lot of your time dodging around, striking enemies only when the time is right, and naturally, endlessly dying against a rather diverse bunch of bosses.
For those of you wondering what all of this looks like in-game, or what sort of tone Death's Gambit is even aiming for, you'll find the answers you seek in the recently posted trailer down below. Personally, I found it to be a pretty darn good trailer, so if you have a spare minute I'd highly recommend you check it out:

World of Warcraft's most recent update has brought with it a massive stat-squish, all in an effort to curb the highly inflated damage and health numbers. While it has managed to do that quite successfully, as a side effect it also unfortunately made the leveling experience a lot more tedious than before.
Since then Blizzard has reduced the health and damage of enemies below level 100 in order to make the leveling process a bit smoother, but the main problem still remained: leveling was noticeably slower. Thankfully, one of the most recent hotfixes has finally made an improvement in this area by reducing the amount of experience required for levels 60-80 by 14%, with smaller reductions going towards the rest of the levels between 40 and 100.

[Update]: The Absolver team is now working on Sifu, a singleplayer martial arts roguelike with a bit of a mystical twist!
Absolver is a primarily PVP combat RPG with the focus quite firmly placed on melee battles, though with the combat style being more akin to the one from fighting games than classic action-RPGs. That said, instead of using predefined skills and abilities like you would in fighting games, in Absolver you are able to customize your fighter's entire moveset, combos, blocks, dodges, and so forth.
Since this isn't exactly easy to explain through words alone, allow me to share with you the "Combat Overview" trailer. It'll give you a pretty darn good idea of just what Absolver is all about. Have a gander:

If you've already completed Ni no Kuni 2 and you're currently looking for an excuse to dive back in, you might be interested to hear that the free "Adventurer Pack" DLC is set to arrive this August 9th. All of the details have not been announced just yet, but you can expect to see a variety of challenges for experienced players, challenges such as the new and much stronger bosses: Blackhart (pictured above) and Zeta.
Naturally, there will also be numerous costumes to collect for both Evan and the rest of the crew. Some of these can be gathered from the newly updated Faraway Forest cave, or through additional quests that will become available after the main storyline has been completed.

If you're looking to escape the summer heat while also checking out a couple of new games, you might want to give the freshly launched Humble "Sports" Bundle a look. As you might imagine from the name alone, the bundle is all about sports games, which in this case also includes a bunch of racing games like GRID 2 and F1 2017.
For those of you wondering what exactly all of these games are, as well as how much they'll set you back, allow me to share with you the full list of games and the pricing tier they appear in. Have a gander:

World of Warcraft's Battle for Azeroth expansion is set to arrive this August 14th, bringing with it a renewed focus on the war between the Horde and the Alliance. In order to get everyone up to speed, as well as flesh out some of the main characters, Blizzard has recently started releasing "Warbrigers" animated shorts. The first of these was Warbringers: Jaina, a surprisingly well done portrayal of Jaina's internal conflicts and her current motivation in the war against the Horde.
The second video, Warbringers: Sylvanas, has arrived today, and unfortunately it's nowhere near the same level of quality. But before I potentially taint your opinion with my own, allow me to share with you the video itself. Have a look, it's only a couple of minutes long:
