[Update]: The Summer Games have now arrived alongside a rather hefty balance patch. You can learn more by heading over here.

Overwatch's Summer Games 2018 event is set to arrive later today (August 9th), bringing with it a whole bunch of new and old content to enjoy. Lucioball will be making a return alongside a new stadium set in Busan, all of the previous summer cosmetics will become available at a highly discounted price, and perhaps most importantly for today's topic, we'll be getting a brand new batch of sports-themed cosmetics!

The preview images below are unfortunately a bit shaky when it comes to quality, but worry not as each one will include a link to a brief teaser showing off the cosmetic 'in action'. So without further ado, here are all six of the new cosmetics announced so far:

While I'm usually not a fan of sports-themed cosmetics, I have to admit that both Roadhog and Winston look particularly badass in their new outfits. Whether they're badass enough to replace Yeti Winston or the hilariously inappropriate Christmas Roadhog, that still remains to be seen, but I certainly won't complain about getting even more unique cosmetics to choose from.

Once the update goes live later today I'll make sure to let you know, but until then I would highly recommend jumping into Competitive Play just to see how Wrecking Ball performs in action. Oh, and if you're feeling particularly evil, you could always play some Sombra and make all the hamsters in the world feel very sad and very, very slow! Either way, have fun!
