Martial arts roguelike Sifu is adding a much harder and much easier difficulty mode
- By Ash

[Update #2]: Sifu's summer update has now arrived with 11 gameplay modifiers to tweak and 8 'cheats' to mess around with.
[Update]: The difficulty-focused update has now arrived, and unlike what I guessed from the preview, the two new options do actually change the health of your character and the enemies. A small disappointment, but hopefully one that's easy to overlook given the rest of the improvements.
The somewhat recently released Sifu is a martial arts inspired roguelike that's all about kicking and punching your way through hordes of tricky enemies. However, instead of having only one life in which you need to complete the entire game, Sifu gives you access to a whole bunch... though at a cost! Every time you die you become older and less durable than before, though also a fair bit more powerful!
While this is certainly a cool concept, it does have one very significant problem - if you're doing badly, then respawning with less health is only going to make the situation worse. So in order to address this problem, as well as give thrill-seekers something to sink their teeth into, the Sifu team has just announced two new difficulty modes.

[Update #2]: Dune: Spice Wars has now launched from Early Access alongside mixed reviews, mostly because the previously teased story-focused campaign has not been implemented.
[Update]: Funcom is now working on an open world, survival-focused MMO set in the Dune universe!
Following in the same footsteps as Northgard, Shiro Games have now released their newest strategy game Dune: Spice Wars into Steam Early Access. As you might expect from the name alone, Dune: Spice Wars is a real-time strategy game that's all about using political intrigue, espionage, and good ol' fashioned violence in order to secure your faction's future on the desert world.
You can get a little bit of a sneak peek at what this looks like in-game, as well as what the four factions are all about, through the launch trailer below. Have a look:
After remastering many classic RPGs, Beamdog has now launched a dungeon crawler of their own

After remastering and enhancing whole bunch of classic RPGs like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Planescape: Torment, Beamdog has decided to take things in a completely different direction with their newest game. Instead of yet another CRPG, or even something inspired by them, the freshly released MythForce is a 80s cartoon themed roguelite dungeon crawler.
Unsurprisingly, this means that MythForce is all about jumping head-first into a variety of randomized adventures, be this in singleplayer or co-op multiplayer. From there you'll have to slice and dice your way through hordes of enemies, acquire a variety of fancy items and upgrades to customize your build, and slowly but surely work on getting better in order to conquer all of the challenges in one go.

[Update]: Diablo Immortal has now entered Open Beta, though sadly it's a bit of a mess.
In the end it doesn't even matter if you guys have phones or not because Blizzard has just revealed that their free-to-play "MMO-ARPG" Diablo Immortal will be available on both PC and mobile. You won't even have to wait all that long to give it a try as Diablo Immortal will be heading into Open Beta this June 2nd, 2022!
While the gameplay will be exactly the same between the two versions, Diablo Immortal on PC will come with a greatly revamped UI, chat functionality, controller support and most likely improved visuals as well. Most importantly, there will be both cross-play and cross-progression between the two platforms, so if you're so inclined you'll be able to swap around without a care in the world.

[Update #2]: Immortal Empires will be coming in August with 86 playable factions and a bunch of awesome improvements!
[Update]: Here's a little bit of good news to help tide you over - Total War: Warhammer 3 has made its way to macOS!
If you're eagerly waiting for Creative Assembly to fix up Total War: Warhammer 3 and transform it into a sequel that will eclipse all other games in the series, I have some good and bad news to deliver. Starting with the good, I'm happy to say that after many delays, the Total War: Warhammer 3 team has now finally unveiled the roadmap for 2022!
The bad news is that we're going to have to wait for quite a while, most likely until September 2022, in order to get to the really juicy stuff like the long-awaited Immortal Empires combined campaign map. However, once that update does finally arrive things should be quite exciting as it'll also bring with it an overhaul of the Warriors of Chaos, the bizarrely absent Blood Pack, as well as the first Lord Pack DLC.

After spending nearly two years in Early Access, the rogue-lite action-adventure Rogue Legacy 2 has now finally been unleashed alongside a chunky update. Version 1.0 brings with it a couple of new bosses to fight against, two new character classes to send to their doom, a significant overhaul and rebalance of existing content, and naturally, an actual ending!
There's far, far too many changes to cover in brief, so if you're interested in all of the details you can find what you seek over at the official patch notes. If you just want the short version, however, here's a brief trailer showing off what Rogue Legacy 2's launch version has to offer:
