[Update]: Overwatch 2 beta update has rebalanced supports and given Zenyatta a mighty kick.
After a whole bunch of teasers and previews, the very first Overwatch 2 closed beta has now finally arrived. It brings with it Sojourn as a railgun-wielding new DPS hero, reworked versions of Orisa, Doomfist, Sombra and Bastion, a whole bunch of changes to the other heroes, as well as an assortment of new maps to toy around with.

The Iron Oath Review - Promising, though rough around the edges

- in Reviews
Much like any business these days, your mercenary company in The Iron Oath has to carefully manage its finances in a turbulent economy, strike a fine balance between relying on veteran workers and investing in new blood, as well as fight off hordes upon hordes of interdimensional demons that have come to destroy everything you know and love! In a way, it's the perfect showcase of what it's like to work in retail!
So if you're curious how you can save the world on a budget, as well as how the Darkest Dungeon inspired missions play out, allow me to share my thoughts after spending quite a few hours exploring The Iron Oath's pixelated world.

[Update]: Overwatch 2's closed beta has now begun, and soon everyone will be able to jump in.
After what feels like an eternity of waiting, the Overwatch 2 beta will finally be going live tomorrow, on April 26th. The beta will bring with it four new maps to explore, the brand new Push game mode, the railgun wielding Sojuorn as a new hero, as well as a couple of reworks to help classic heroes fit in the new 5v5 environment.
As previously announced, Sombra and Bastion will be going through some relatively small changes in order to make them both more enjoyable to play and less annoying to play against. Meanwhile, the freshly revealed Doomfist and Orisa reworks will be trying out something a bit more drastic.
Chainsaw-leg wielding 'boomer shooter' Turbo Overkill has now landed into Steam Early Access

[Update #2]: Turbo Overkill's Version 1.0 has now arrived, and as I've detailed throughout my review, it's a ton of fun!
[Update]: If you're in a retro FPS mood, it's well worth mentioning that the Blood inspired Cultic has now landed onto Steam alongside some highly positive reviews.
As the name itself might imply, Turbo Overkill is a completely over-the-top 'boomer shooter' where your weapons can rip enemies apart and where you can move through the levels so quickly you might have trouble actually aiming at stuff. Best of all, as I've detailed in my review, the fact that you have a chainsaw-leg isn't even the best bit!
What all of this nonsense looks like in action, however, that you can find out through the recently posted Early Access trailer. It should clue you in quite quickly on just what Turbo Overkill is trying to do. Have a look:
Stellaris' Overlord expansion will be reworking vassalization and improving diplomacy this May 12th

[Update]: Stellaris' freshly launched Overlord expansion has now reworked vassalization and spiced up the mid-game.
In an effort to spice up the rather unimpressive vassalage mechanic and make diplomacy more interesting across the board, Stellaris will be launching the Overlord expansion this May 12th. As the name might imply, Overlord will focus mostly on offering you new ways of projecting your power and asserting your will over the universe, be this for the betterment of all or purely yourself.
You can expect to see an overhaul of how diplomacy works along with new forms of hostile 'negotiations' through the use of espionage operations, new origins and megastructures to help spice things up, and most importantly, a massive rework of vassalization as a whole. The goal here is to make subjugation a deeper and more engaging system with benefits for both parties, including the player should they end up on the wrong side of a galactic tyrant!
Gearbox is working on a brand new Tales from the Borderlands adventure game

While it was released around the time Telltale Games began their nosedive in quality, Tales from the Borderlands thankfully ended up being a highly enjoyable adventure game. Best of all, not only was it a faithful adaptation of the bizarre Borderlands universe, but it even expanded it with a whole bunch of memorable new characters and events!
As such, I'm happy to say that Tales from the Borderlands is coming back! While the details are still few and far between, Gearbox and 2K Games have just revealed that an all-new Tales from the Borderlands adventure game will be launching in 2022.
Nearly three years later, Postal 4: No Regerts has now been unleashed from Early Access

If childish humor and completely nonsensical storylines is what you seek, you might be interested to hear that Postal 4: No Regerts has now been unleashed from Steam Early Access alongside a chunky update. Besides the usual additions and bug fixes, the most exciting part of the launch update is that you can now choose between three different voice actors for the main character!
So depending on your preference, you can roll with Rick Hunter (the original), Corey Cruise (the only good part of Postal 3), or stick with the default Jon St. John (Duke Nukem). You can get a little bit of a sneak peek at what each of them sound like, as well as what Postal 4 is all about, through the freshly posted trailer:
