After nearly a decade, Guild Wars 2's Living World Season 1: Flame and Frost has now returned

[Update]: Sky Pirates, the second part of Guild Wars 2's return to the long-lost Living World Season 1, has now arrived.
After nearly a decade of being unavailable, the Guild Wars 2 team has finally figured out a way to bring back Living World Season 1. So if you weren't around for the original run, or if you're simply in the mood for a bit of nostalgia, you'll be happy to hear that the very first episode Flame and Frost has now arrived.
Best of all, these re-released episodes aren't going be simple copies of the old ones. Instead you can expect to see them restructured as linear stories you can enjoy at your own pace, the open-world content integrated into the base game, and the accompanying achievements updated so you can finally get some of those fancy cosmetics.
After a decade of action, Bluehole's Tera MMORPG is shutting down for good in June 2022

With the playerbase rapidly dwindling year after year, it was only a matter of time. As such I'm sad to inform you that after a decade of action, at least in the West, Bluehole's combat-focused MMORPG Tera is closing down its doors for good.
New Tera account registrations will be deactivated on May 31st, 2022, while the servers themselves will be going down on June 30th, 2022 at 10am CEST. There will also be no refunds for purchased or remaining currency, though if you have Tera Club membership that will run beyond June 30th, you can contact support for at least a partial refund.
Darkest Dungeon inspired turn-based strategy The Iron Oath has now landed onto Steam

- in Indie Games
[Update]: My review for The Iron Oath is now out, and in short it's a promising turn-based strategy, though still quite rough around the edges.
The Iron Oath is a freshly released turn-based strategy that's all about running a mercenary company. As you might expect from description that alone, in The Iron Oath you'll need to gear up and mentor a wide assortment of mercenaries, pick and choose contracts that will give you the greatest benefits without angering any of the big factions around you, and naturally, do whatever you can to not end up without the gold to pay your crew!
Things take a bit of a Darkest Dungeon twist once you get to the actual moment-to-moment gameplay. As you explore sprawling dungeons in search of precious loot you'll have to contend with rapidly dwindling resources, demoralized party members, and injuries that just keep piling on and on. So as tempting as the various contracts might be, you'll have to carefully weigh your options and see whether they're actually worth the very real risk to your mercenaries.
World of Warcraft's Dragonflight expansion is adding a draconic class/race combo - the Dracthyr Evoker
- By Ash
- in News
[Update #2]: World of Warcraft is finally adding cross-faction dungeons and PvP with Update 8.2.5 this June 1st, 2022!
[Update]: Wrath of the Lich King Classic has also been announced, and it will be launching in 2022 without the controversial Dungeon Finder!
Given the many, many leaks and rumors over the past few months, it might not come as too much of a surprise to hear that World of Warcraft's next and freshly announced expansion will be called Dragonflight. No exact release date has been announced just yet, but even if we assume Dragonflight will be unleashed in record time, we'll still most likely have to wait until early 2023.
As far as the new content is concerned, the star attraction is definitely the new draconic class/race combination - the Dracthyr Evoker. The two new additions will be exclusively tied together, so the Dracthyr won't be able to play as any other class, and no other race will be able to roll an Evoker. In terms of playstyle, however, the Evoker will give you a choice between a healer and a ranged damage-dealer, both of which will wear mail armor.

Peglin Preview - Mixing Peggle inspired gameplay with roguelike progression was a great idea
- By Ash
- in Reviews
Unlike most rogue-likes that have you personally fight your way through hordes of baddies, in Peglin you get to passive-aggressively stare at your enemies while you throw orbs into a pit in order to see what kind of smackdown fate has decreed for them. It's a ridiculous premise, but after playing way too much Peglin over the past week, I must admit it's also quite an addictive one!
So if you're curious how Peglin manages to turn Peggle-inspired gameplay into a nerve-wracking rogue-like, as well as how it compares to the rest of the genre, allow me to share my thoughts after quite a few hours with the demo.

[Update]: Right on cue, Dynasties of India has now been unleashed!
Age of Empires II may be more than twenty years old at this point, but it doesn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. Its competitive scene is more vibrant than ever despite Age of Empires IV adding a bit of friendly competition, and now there's even a brand new expansion coming to help spice things up further.
Once it arrives this April 28th, Dynasties of India will bring with it three new playable civilizations to Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition (Bengalis, Dravidians and Gurjaras), three new and fully voice acted campaigns, as well as an assortment of new units, buildings and achievements to toy around with.
