Diablo Immortal official artwork showing off a battle against demons

[Update]: Diablo Immortal has now entered Open Beta, though sadly it's a bit of a mess.

In the end it doesn't even matter if you guys have phones or not because Blizzard has just revealed that their free-to-play "MMO-ARPG" Diablo Immortal will be available on both PC and mobile. You won't even have to wait all that long to give it a try as Diablo Immortal will be heading into Open Beta this June 2nd, 2022!

While the gameplay will be exactly the same between the two versions, Diablo Immortal on PC will come with a greatly revamped UI, chat functionality, controller support and most likely improved visuals as well. Most importantly, there will be both cross-play and cross-progression between the two platforms, so if you're so inclined you'll be able to swap around without a care in the world.

Now whether the actual gameplay will be enjoyable on PC, especially when compared to the recently released and rather excellent Diablo 2 Resurrected, that still remains to be seen. However, considering Diablo Immortal is going to be free-to-play, I suppose it doesn't really hurt to give it a try. After all, Blizzard has been working on it for a while, so who knows, it might even end up being a fun little time-waster to help tide us over until Diablo 4 arrives!

Whatever the case may be, allow me to share with you the brief trailer showing off some footage from the PC version. Have a look:
