Metal Gear Online is now out this January 19th on PC

To say that the PC version of Metal Gear Online was heavily delayed is a bit of an understatement as months have passed since the consoles got their taste of MGS V multiplayer action.

And now, after a rather short beta that lasted slightly over a week Metal Gear Online is finally available for the PC crowd to experience. Here's the announcement message from the MGO developers:

Humble Firaxis bundle is live and filled with great games

As a big fan of strategy games Firaxis has been one of rare few companies to consistently feed my "addiction" with quality releases that had never lost that "I need to play one more turn..." feeling despite hundreds of hours I sunk in to them.

So I'm happy to tell you that during the currently running Humble Firaxis Bundle you can grab their very best, including various Civilization games and Xcom itself, at a rather low $8.69.

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak - Detailed Review

My detailed and in-depth review of Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak is a prequel to the excellent Homeworld 1 which released back in 1999 and redefined the RTS genre with a focus on large scale conflicts, compelling storytelling and persistence between missions.

Deserts of Kharak set out to continue that legacy and despite the fact that the cool darkness of space has been replaced with the ever-encroaching desert it does an excellent job of embodying everything Homeworld stood for.

Blizzard's Championship Circuit has one heck of a prize pool

Heroes of the Storm is Blizzard's answer to the ever rising popularity of Dota 2 & League of Legends and while it aims at a much more casual audience its prize pool is hardcore indeed.

In a recent blog post Blizzard announced that their Championship Circuit, which is already underway for many regions, will have an overall prize pool totaling more than $4,000,000. Here's the image that came with the announcement to explain how the ladder will work:

Darkest Dungeon is arriving on Steam, GOG & Humble Store on January 19th

Darkest Dungeon's Early Access campaign was a bit of a roller-coaster of emotions. When it first released it was a crowd favorite earning obscene amounts of praise for everything from gameplay to art style but during the mid point in development a couple of patches made the game a bit more tedious than the players appreciated which turned in to wide spread criticism only to have that criticism turn back in to praise a patch later.

And now after successfully enduring the Early Access trials Darkest Dungeon is set to release today, January 19th. Along with the announcement came a new spiffy release trailer, take a look:

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak gets a multiplayer trailer a few days ahead of launch

If you aren't familiar with it Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak is a prequel to the well-celebrated RTS Homeworld 1 and brings with it many of the same mechanics and story elements that made the series good.

Today we finally get a short glimpse at the much advertised Artifact Retrieval game mode where two teams face off to gather and secure, you guessed it, artifacts that spawn periodically in the middle of the map. You can find the video right below:

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc has been confirmed as a Steam release in February

There was a rumor a while back that the Danganronpa series, among others such as Final Fantasy X & X-2, would be making their way to Steam but no actual confirmation was ever given. However, since now three of the games mentioned in the leak are confirmed as Steam releases I think its safe to assume that the rumor is quite true.

In today's case its the Playstation exclusive Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc that is confirmed as a Steam release for February, with the sequels most likely following suit afterwards. Here's the announcement trailer:
