Id Software Recently Showed Off Doom Running On A GTX 1080 At 200 FPS

During a recent Nvidia event Id Software came on stage to show off Doom's performance when backed up by the monstrously powerful (and expensive) GTX 1080. To top things off, they also used the Vulkan API, which is essentially the OpenGL equivalent of DirectX 12, though they didn't mention how much it actually impacted Doom's performance.
The end result of all of this was some rather stunning footage of Doom that managed to constantly remain between 150 - 200 FPS, and best of all, the presenter actually seemed to be capable of aiming unlike the previous few trailers where we only got to enjoy watching the Doom guy flail about. That mini-rant aside, here's the video:

This wouldn't be the first time The Witcher 3's upcoming expansion Blood and Wine had its release date leaked, but given the overwhelming evidence on display here I would wager that this rumor is the correct one.
The leak comes to us from Wario64 on Twitter who managed to notice that the Blood and Wine Steam Store page had been prematurely released, with the May 30 31 launch date in full view. Here's one of the screenshots he managed to capture that showcases all of the features we'll be able to experience in Blood and Wine:
Battleborn - Detailed Review (PC Version)

On first glance it might seem that Gearbox has gone flat out insane by deciding to challenge Blizzard's Overwatch with their own team-based FPS, but the truth of the matter is that the games have very little in common once you get past the cartoony graphics and ability-based gunplay.
Whereas Overwatch is a pure team-based FPS most similar to Team Fortress 2, Battleborn draws its inspiration from both Borderlands and Super Monday Night Combat, with the end result being a MOBA that plays like a fast-paced FPS, rather than the opposite. Another key difference is that Battleborn actually features a fairly lengthy campaign that can be played in either singleplayer or co-op, though the overall focus is quite clearly on the competitive multiplayer.

After the announcement trailer was accidentally released a couple of days too early, Blizzard has finally confirmed that both Chromie, the time-controlling Bronze dragon with an obsession for Gnome girls, and Medivh, the all-powerful mage, will be arriving to Heroes of the Storm in the near future.
Naturally, since this is Heroes of the Storm we're talking about, this news was instantly followed up by the reveal of a whole bunch of new consmetics, including the mounts that will serve as rewards for the current pre-season. Have a look:
Space Pirates And Zombies 2 Is Heading To Early Access Soon

Space Pirates and Zombies (or SPAZ for short) was one of those games that despite its obvious imperfections ended up being a giant vacuum for free time, or as normal people say it, a rather fun game.
So imagine my surprise when I recently heard that a sequel, 3.5 years in the making, will be arriving on Steam Early Access in a little over a week, May 19 to be specific. If you share my befuddlement, here's the most recent trailer showcasing all of the advances the team made over the past few years:

If you're having the time of your life playing as Bastion, or simply getting mowed down by Bastion as the majority of players I've met seem to be doing the past few days, you'll be glad to hear that the Overwatch Open Beta has been extended by one day.
This announcement comes from the most recent Blizzard post over at the Overwatch forums where the team has expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming amount of player feedback that has arrived over the past couple of days. Here's the full message:

Origin Access is EA's subscription based service that provides early previews of new games, discounts on purchases, and most importantly, full access to a whole bunch of games found within the Vault.
The Vault currently contains 21 games, but that's soon going to change as EA has announced plans to add the Mass Effect trilogy, Trine 1 and 2, Dungeons of Dredmore, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, and a few more over the course of the next two months.
