Persia, led by Cyrus the Great, will be the next nation to join the Civilization 6 roster
- By Ash
- in News
Its a bit strange that Persia wasn't present at launch given how it was once the largest empire in the world, but according to the most recent announcement that little 'mistake' will soon be getting corrected. The Persian Empire, led by Cyrus the Great, will arrive to Civilization 6 as a part of an upcoming Civilization and Scenario Pack, though the release date and pricing haven't been revealed just yet.
What the developers did reveal, however, is all of the units, upgrades, and special abilities you'll be able to mess around with. The first and most iconic feature is the Immortal, a replacement for the Swordsman that is able to fight from range, while still boasting a considerable defense. In terms of improvements you have the Pairidaeza (Persian Gardens) which proves culture, gold, appeal, and additional bonuses depending on adjacent tiles. To further help out with your economy researching Political Philosophy will give you a free trade route, as well as a bonuses to internal trade routes.

Tripwire promised that they would continue supporting Killing Floor 2 even after Early Access, and judging by the updates released so far they sure weren't kidding! The first major update in January added multi-perk weapons, a new Zed, as well as a new map, and already we're getting a whole bunch of new content.
The newly released Descent update brings with it two new maps to toy around with, Holdout as a sub-mode of Survival that drops players into a new random location with each wave, as well as a two new weapons. Fans of the original Firebug will be glad to hear that one of these weapons is the ridiculously awesome dual flare gun revolvers, while those of you that prefer shooting enemies in the face might be interested in the new Stoner 63a LMG as it packs one hell of a punch.
Troll and I, an action-adventure starring two rather unlikely protagonists, has now officially released
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
Troll and I is an action-adventure that follows the story of a rather unlikely duo: a giant troll and a teenage boy. Together they will need to journey through the lush forests of Scandinavia, fight a variety of enemies inspired by Nordic folklore, and naturally, deal with the occasional bit of light 'puzzling'. Since the focus is quite firmly placed on teamwork you won't be surprised to hear that Troll and I supports local co-op, but if you don't have any friends at hand, worry not as you will be able to swap between the two characters at will.
If you're like me and you're currently wondering how any of this even works, here's the recently posted launch trailer to hopefully fill out all the gaps. Have a look:

The official remaster for Pathologic was successfully Kickstarted back in the ancient times of 2014, and after quite a few years the developers now finally have a playable demo for everyone to toy around with. The Marble Nest demo will take you around two hours to complete, and while its essentially a short spin-off story it should still give you a good idea of what exactly Pathologic is all about.

[Update]: Orisa has now arrived to the live servers (both PC and consoles) alongside a sizable balance patch!
Overwatch's 24th hero Orisa spent the past three weeks on the PTR, and after a surprisingly low amount of changes she is now finally coming to the live servers as well. To be more specific, you'll be able to mess around with Orisa at some point later today, most likely three hours from now.
However, according to Blizzard's recent announcement you will not be able to choose Orisa in Competitive Play for an entire week after release. But worry not, she will be fully available in every other game mode: Quick Play, Arcade, Play vs AI, and even in custom games.

Back in July Sega announced that we will be getting two new Sonic games in 2017: one inspired by the original classic, and the other a modern 3D game. The first game turned out to be Sonic Mania, and if all of the recent preview trailers are any judge its going to be one hell of a Sonic game given how closely it emulates what made the original so good.
As for the 3D Sonic game, it has now finally received an official title alongside its very first gameplay trailer. So if you're interested in seeing what Sonic Forces is all about, here's the recently posted teaser video showcasing what I can only assume is the first level:
