Pathfinder: Kingmaker, an isometric party-based RPG set in the Pathfinder universe, has been announced

Pathfinder, along with Dungeons and Dragons, is one of the longest-running and most popular pen-and-paper roleplaying games. But despite its success in the physical world Pathfinder is unfortunately short on video game adaptations, which is why I'm very glad to say that Pathfinder: Kingmaker, an isometric party-based RPG, has just been announced!

There isn't much information available right now, but what I can tell you is that you can treat the title literally. In Pathfinder: Kingmaker you will not only have to blaze a path through the wilderness in order to uncover its secrets, but you will also have to establish your very own kingdom in the unsurprisingly hostile Stolen Lands. Much like any RPG there will be plenty of ways to tailor your character towards whatever playstyle you might enjoy, as well as a variety of fleshed-out companions to recruit along the way.

The Overwatch Anniversary event will run from May 23 to June 12

Overwatch Anniversary event artwork featuring all of the heroes

[Update]: The Overwatch Anniversary patch has now arrived to the live servers. You can check out all of the changes and cosmetics by heading over here. Have fun!

Overwatch will soon be celebrating its very first birthday, and in order to get everyone in on the festivities Blizzard will be holding a massive Anniversary event featuring a new game mode, new skins, sprays, and a whole bunch more. The Anniversary Update will arrive on May 23rd and will last about three weeks, most likely until June 12th if previous events are any indicator.

While there is no official confirmation about the contents of this update, Blizzard has previously stated that Hanzo, Zarya, and Symmetra will be getting new legendary skins in the near future, so here's to hoping the overlooked trio will be getting some shiny new cosmetics to play around with. Furthermore, there is a strong chance some of the missing emotes (such as Sombra's laugh) will also be making an appearance given how they've been repeatedly mentioned in recent interviews. Whether any of this speculation is going to end up being correct or not, I'm afraid I don't know, but at least we won't have to wait long in order to find out as the event is only a few days away.

Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5's official logo

Given the success and popularity of the Far Cry series and it spin-offs it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Ubisoft has now officially announced Far Cry 5. What might come as a surprise, however, is that the entire announcement is one incredibly generic-looking logo and absolutely no accompanying information.

Since Ubisoft doesn't seem willing to reveal the setting or time period for Far Cry 5 just yet, allow me to share two of the most popular rumors. The first one is that Far Cry 5 will be a modern-day Western designed to compete with Red Dead Redemption 2, though personally I doubt this one is true given how Ubisoft has been uncharacteristically quick to shut down such claims. The second, and perhaps more realistic rumor, is that Far Cry 5 will let us play as a cop in rural, modern-day Montana. The reason I think rumor might have some credibility is that the only defining features of the otherwise bland logo are the red and blue colors which are commonly associated with the police.

Total War: Warhammer 2 devs have released an in-engine trailer showing off the Lizardmen in battle

The upcoming Total War: Warhammer 2 is the second game in a trilogy that is supposed to span the entire Warhammer Fantasy world. From what we know so far the action will take place in the "New World" and will involve the High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, and Skaven (though they haven't been announced just yet) all fighting over the Great Vortex.

Given that the Lizardmen faction consists of a bunch of dinosaurs riding other, bigger dinosaurs it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Creative Assembly has decided to showcase them first. So if you're interested in seeing what the Lizardmen (and some High Elf) units will look like in-engine, here's the recently posted trailer:

Overwatch Anniversary event will most likely be coming next week, May 16th

[Update]: The Overwatch Anniversary patch has now arrived to the live servers. You can check out all of the changes and cosmetics by heading over here. Have fun!

As is tradition with Overwatch at this point, the upcoming Anniversary event has been accidentally leaked by Microsoft. To be more specific, the folks over at True Achivements have managed to dig up an Xbox Store listing for 50 Overwatch Anniversary Loot Boxes.

The Loot Boxes will come with new Anniversary skins, sprays, highlights intros, emotes, and pretty much everything you've come to expect from an Overwatch event. What exactly these skins will be, that I can't say for certain, but there's a strong chance Hanzo, Symmetra, and Zarya will finally be getting some new legendary skins! This is obviously speculation on my part, but Blizzard has previously said that all three of these heroes will be getting a legendary skin in the near future, and what better time to give them some love than on Overwatch's anniversary?

Mass Effect: Andromeda update has improved PC performance, fixed multiplayer scaling, and tweaked various cutscenes

By Ash

As I'm sure you're aware by now, Mass Effect: Andromeda launched with a whole bunch of bugs, performance issues, and cinematics with a clear lack of polish (for example: characters vanishing into the ether or just moonwalking out of the scene). While I'm not sure if today's update fixes all of the above mentioned issues, it does bring with it a nice set of changes.

First and foremost, there are numerous performance and stability improvements, as well as a whole bunch of general bug fixes. The subtitles have been made slightly more legible and easier on the eyes, while side conversations will no longer appear "grayed out" if a character still has more to say. And for those of you that enjoy the multiplayer mode, the singleplayer difficulty setting will no longer affect multiplayer scaling! If you're interested in all of the multiplayer balance changes you can find them by heading over to the official website, but for now, here are all of the "main" patch notes:

Overwatch devs have released a fancy infographic for the recent Uprising PvE game mode

By Ash

Overwatch Uprising event infographic header image

The Overwatch Uprising Update arrived in early April with a whole bunch of new cosmetics to collect, and perhaps most importantly of all, a surprisingly enjoyable PvE mode. You could play as either the official team and try to get the insanely difficult Legendary mode achievement, or you could just hop into the All Heroes mode and see how your favorites stand up against hordes upon hordes of Omnics. Long story short, Uprising had something for everyone, unlike the previous Halloween Terror event that only allowed you to play as four pre-set characters.

Given the popularity and variety present in this game mode it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Blizzard has now released an official infographic showcasing some of the more interesting sides of the event. For example, if you managed to complete the event on Legendary difficulty (in either Story or All Heroes mode) you belong in the top 1% of all players that participated! But enough blabber from me, here's the infographic:
