Total War: Shogun 2 screenshot of samurai in battle

Total War: Shogun 2 is perhaps the very best game in the series for newcomers and those that still haven't grasped all of the elements that make Total War games what they are. As such, I am very glad to say that both the Shogun 2 Collection and Fall of the Samurai Collection are now available on Linux as well!

If you're interested in a brief peek at what exactly the Linux version looks like, you'll find the recently posted launch trailer down below. It doesn't feature much in terms of gameplay, but it'll at least give you an idea of what exactly you're getting into. Have a look:

Since the Shogun 2 Collection only recently arrived on Steam I'm afraid there are no user reviews specifically made for the Linux version, but given the quality of Feral's ports in the past chances are this will be a solid one as well. However, I would recommend waiting a day or two just to make sure the majority of mods work with the Linux version, because while Shogun 2 may be good on its own, mods elevate it to a truly legendary status!
