Battlerite's next champion is Ulric, a Paladin-inspired melee support with a focus on defense

[Update]: Ulric has now been unleashed, and so far he seems to be pretty dang powerful!

Earlier this month Battlerite received a brand new champion, and already the developers are planning to unleash another one. However, while Jamila was a stealth assassin that focused on damage above all else, the newly announced Ulric is a melee support that's all about keeping his team safe from harm.

You can get a good look at what Ulric is like, as well as what all of his spells do, through the recently posted Champion Preview. It's one of the best videos Stunlock Studios have done in quite a while, so I'd definitely recommend giving it a look:

Hitman's sunny Sapienza level is free to grab for the next two weeks on both PC and consoles

If you ever wanted to give the modern Hitman a try, now would be a very good time to do so. The reason I say this is because one of its best maps, Episode 2: Sapienza, is completely free to grab until April 3rd on both PC and consoles. There's no need to rush with your playthrough, however, as once you claim the episode it will be yours to keep.

In terms of content you'll be getting the prologue as well as the main story mission "World of Tomorrow", 20 levels of mastery, more than 100 challenges, as well as a variety of achievements to hunt down. Perhaps most importantly, as far as longevity is concerned anyway, IOI has also re-activated all Elusive Targets in Sapienza, which should give you plenty of additional content to mess around with.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has now unlocked all heroes and greatly reworked the progression system

To say that Star Wars Battlefront 2's launch was mired in controversy would be one hell of an understatement, but thankfully there is light at the end of the tunnel. After a lengthy period of silence, the developers have now released a greatly improved progression system, removed every single pay-to-win element, and even unlocked all heroes and ships for everyone to enjoy!

So instead of getting random Star Cards from loot boxes, you will now earn individual experience for simply playing the class, hero or ship of your choice. That experience can then be used to either unlock or upgrade whichever Star Card you like in your chosen class. A simple little change in the grand scheme of things, but one that will make Star Wars Battlefront 2 infinitely more enjoyable to play as the whole progression is now based on actually playing the game rather than praying the gods of randomness favor you.

The multiplayer focused pirate-adventure Sea of Thieves has now docked onto PC and Xbox One

[Update]: After two years of exclusivity, Sea of Thieves is now making its way to Steam as well.

As you're probably aware at this point, Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer focused pirate adventure and exploration game that's all about sailing the high seas, searching for hidden treasure and artifacts to plunder, attacking other players in order to get their share of the booty as well, and then hopefully making it back to port before someone else returns the favor. It's about as simple as it gets, but as the recently held beta test have shown, it's a concept that is surprisingly enjoyable in short bursts.

If you're still confused and you're wondering what exactly Sea of Thieves has to offer, allow me to share with you a developer video that answers just that question. It's a little bit on the lengthy side, but it should give you a darn good idea of whether Sea of Thieves is a game you'd enjoy or not. Have a gander:

Overwatch's latest hero Brigitte has now arrived, though only for Quick Play and Arcade modes

After spending a relatively short amount of time on the PTR, Overwatch latest tank/support hybrid Brigitte has now arrived onto the live servers. Unfortunately, she is only going to be available in Quick Play and Arcade game modes until the end of this current season. If that doesn't sound like too big of a deal, I'm afraid I have some bad news - this season will last for another 5 weeks or so! A truly puzzling decision, but hopefully one that Blizzard will eventually remedy because having to wait 5 weeks to 'properly' play a brand new hero is both silly and utterly anticlimactic.

That aside, if you're unfamiliar with Brigitte and you're wondering what exactly she has to offer (as well as how her name is even pronounced), you'll find everything you need to know in the most recent spotlight video down below. Have a look, it's short but sweet:

Europa Universalis IV's Rule Britannia expansion has arrived to further flesh out the British Isles

A few months have passed since Europa Universalis IV's Cradle of Civilization expansion, and already Paradox is back with a brand new expansion pack. As you might expect from the title alone, the newly added Rule Britannia DLC has brought with it a bunch of content and changes to further flesh out the British Isles, as well as some minor improvements to the other countries.

What this means in gameplay terms is that you can expect to see new British missions, rewards for being the first nation to unlock new knowledge, new naval doctrines to help you in both times of peace and war, Anglicanism as a new Protestant faith, as well as the ability to essentially tax every trade your defeated enemies do. There's also new army designs for British and Irish nations, new music, as well as an option to share knowledge with your allies in order to get them up to speed.

Vermintide 2's update has rebalanced the most annoying bosses and removed the random insane difficulty spikes

By Ash

Warhammer: Vermintide 2, a game I found myself reviewing quite positively, launched on March 8th with a large amount of bugs in tow, a significant portion of which have by now been fixed because Fatshark has managed to issue four major updates in less than two weeks! The latest Update 1.0.4. has finally fixed the various crashes and bugs surrounding the Skittergate level, made the Burblespue Halescourge boss fight much more manageable, as well as removed the completely random and completely insane difficulty spikes across all skill levels.

The Skittergate changes are mostly just bug fixes, though there are a couple of minor nerfs to the final boss as it simply spawned too many Elite enemies to reliably contend with. A similar change has happened with Mr. Burblespue as well, though he has also received a variety of nerfs to his spells in order to make them actually avoidable by dodging. As a result, both maps are now significantly more enjoyable to play, especially on Legend difficulty where even a single 'free' hit from a boss is usually enough to ruin someone's day.
