Only seventeen days have past since the last free weekend, and already Blizzard is announcing a brand new one. So if you somehow haven't given Overwatch a try, or if you have some friends you want to convert to the FPS side, you should schedule some free time from August 23-27 as Overwatch will be entirely free on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In terms of content, you'll be able to mess around with all 28 heroes (including the newly released Wrecking Ball), all 18 maps, all bazillion different cosmetics that hide within the loot boxes, as well as all of the various game modes including Quick Play, the Arcade and Custom Games. The only thing that will be locked away from you is Competitive Play, though that's not something you would want to jump in after only a couple of hours of playtime anyway.
The stylish Souls-like action-platformer Death's Gambit has now arrived on PC and PS4

[Update #2]: The good news doesn't stop there as Death's Gambit is also getting its very first paid expansion on February 10, 2022!
[Update]: I bring good news - Death's Gambit is getting a massive free expansion!
Death's Gambit is a Dark Souls inspired action-platformer with a focus on challenging combat and RPG-style customization. As you might imagine from that description alone, you'll spend a lot of your time wondering across an uncaring world riddled with loot, dodging enemy attacks and striking only when the time is right, and naturally, endlessly dying until you finally figure out the boss' patterns.
Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It'll give you a pretty darn good idea of what sort of style and tone Death's Gambit is going for, as well as what sort of gameplay you can expect to see. The trailer is also quite awesome in its own right, so I'd highly recommend you check it out:
Vermintide 2's much-anticipated Shadows Over Bogenhafen DLC will be arriving this August 28th
- By Ash
- in News
According to the original roadmap, Vermintide 2's very first piece of DLC was supposed to arrive in late April/early May, but due to most of the developers being busy with hunting down bugs the DLC ended up being delayed. Quite a lot of time has passed since then, and I am glad to say that Vermintide 2 will finally be getting the Shadows Over Bogenhafen DLC this August 28th on both PC and Xbox One.
There are basically no details available as of right now, but according to the recently posted teaser trailer it would appear that Shadows Over Bogenhafen will be much darker and moodier than most of Vermintide 2's maps. Have a look for yourself:
Overwatch devs will soon be rebalancing the Rialto map as Attackers only have a 42.88% winrate

While Rialto is one of my favorite maps, there is no denying the fact that attacking on it can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare. The first point is fairly manageable as there are a couple of flank routes you can take, but once you start pushing towards the second point there's simply no room to maneuver, at least no room that doesn't already contain an enemy Hanzo aiming towards your face. With that in mind, I am very happy to announce that Blizzard will soon be rebalancing the map in order to make it less defense-favored!
"In the past week, Attackers win 42.88%. We always try to balance toward a 50/50 win rate," reads the brief developer update. "We have some minor tweaks we can make to bring the map more in line. We were looking at it late last week and early this week. While it’s not perfect, it’s also not hugely out of line."
Battlerite devs have shared the very first gameplay preview for the upcoming Battlerite Royale

- in News
As you might expect from the name alone, Battlerite Royale will be taking Battlerite's skillshot-based gameplay away from the tiny arenas and into the wide open world filled with plenty of unique abilities to acquire, players to smash, and loot to plunder. Originally Battlerite Royale was supposed to be a game mode within Battlerite, but according to a recent announcement its scope expanded so much it's now going to be its own separate (and paid) game.
If you're wondering what Battlerite Royale looks like in action, however, allow me to share with you the very first gameplay preview. It's not exactly a lengthy video, so have a look:

Ni no Kuni 2 has just recently received it's very first piece of DLC, and as I'm sure you'll be glad to hear, it's entirely free for all users! Simply head on over to Steam, download the Adventure Pack by pressing that giant green button, and you'll be good to go.
In terms of content, however, the Adventure Pack DLC brings with it a little bit of something for everyone. There's numerous new costumes to collect for both Evan and the rest of the crew, the Faraway Forest cave dungeon has been expanded with new levels filled with monsters and loot, and if you're looking to challenge yourself, there are now also two new bosses to tackle: Blackhart and Zeta.
World of Warcraft's Battle for Azeroth expansion has arrived alongside a boatload of new content

If you're sick and tired of fel-green and soul-sucking-brown that permeated all of Legion's post-launch content, I'm sure you'll be glad to hear that the bright and colorful Battle for Azeroth expansion has now arrived. It brings with it a variety of new and lengthy zones to explore, plenty of new dungeons to conquer and mounts to acquire, a much greater focus on world PvP and faction conflict, island expeditions with crates upon crates of loot to plunder, and the list goes on.
While the most recent cinematic trailer starring the Horde's Varok Saurfang won't exactly tell you much about the expansion's gameplay features, I think it does a pretty darn good job of setting up the conflict and some of the storylines you'll be exploring throughout the expansion. So if you haven't already seen it, I would highly recommend you lower your gaze to the video below:
