Hollow Knight's final chapter has now arrived with new bosses, secrets, and even a new game mode

Hollow Knight official artwork for the godmaster update

After a whole bunch of excellent and content-filled updates, Hollow Knights has now received it's final chapter. The rather aptly named "Godmaster" update brings with it new and most likely insanely difficult bosses to tackle, new NPCs to chat around with, new secrets to uncover, new areas to explore, new music to listen to, and the list goes on.

There is unfortunately no lengthy trailer showing off all of this new content in action, but you can get a bit of a sneak peek through the announcement trailer down below. It's nothing too exciting, but it should give you a pretty darn good hint of what the secret new game mode is. Have a look:

World of Warcraft's latest Warbringers short explores Azshara's fall and the origins of the Naga

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Warbringers animated short staring Azshara

In order to get everyone up to speed on Battle for Azeroth's lore and character, Blizzard has recently begun releasing 'Warbringers' animated shorts. The first two launched ahead of Battle for Azeroth and provided some much-needed context for the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance, while the most recent one is here to show off that there is a far greater threat lurking in the depths.

So if you're interested in seeing how Queen Azshara and her Naga armies came to be, you'll find the answers you seek right below. Have a look, the cinematic is pretty darn enjoyable, though it unfortunately doesn't feature a song as catchy as Jaina's:

Monster Hunter: World PC Review - An excellent start for a new generation of Monster Hunter games

Monster Hunter: World artwork of a giant drake attack

[Update]: My review of Monster Hunter Rise (PC), the 2022 successor to Monster Hunter: World, has now been released and I'm very happy to say that it's a great port for a compelling yet somewhat unambitious Monster Hunter game.

Monster Hunter: World has been available on consoles for quite a few months now, while the PC version was held back in order to ensure a fully polished experience. Now that it has finally arrived, the big questions are: has Monster Hunter: World been worth the wait, and is the PC port any good?

The simple answers would be "yes" and "kind of", but since that doesn't exactly tell you much about Monster Hunter: World's strengths and flaws, allow me to share some of my thoughts after spending a rather considerable amount of time chopping up dinosaurs and adorning my character with enough spikes to shame a World of Warcraft Orc.

Overwatch is having a free weekend on both PC and consoles until August 27th

Overwatch's Wrecking Ball using his mine field ultimate

It has only been a couple of weeks since the last free trial, but if you've managed to miss it or if you're just looking to give Overwatch another try, you might be glad to hear that Blizzard has now unleashed yet another free weekend. The whole event will last until August 27th and, unlike the previous free weekend, will be fully available on both PC and consoles. You can find all of the download links, as well as more information, over at the official website.

As far as content is concerned, the free weekend will give you access to just about everything Overwatch has to offer: all 28 heroes, all 18 maps, all of the various cosmetics and voice lines, as well as all of the game modes like Quick Play, Arcade and Custom Games. The only feature that will be locked away from you is the competitive mode, for obvious reasons.

Monster Hunter: World's PC update has corrected some of the major connectivity issues

Monster Hunter: World screenshot of a drake attack

While I was fortunate enough to completely avoid such problems, a rather significant portion of PC players has been running into connectivity issues while trying to play Monster Hunter: World. With that in mind, I am glad to announce that Capcom has now released an update aimed at correcting some of these major issues.

Not everything has been fixed just yet, but you can expect to see less error messages while using the matchmaking system, fewer random crashes while joining or playing in online sessions, as well as a fix for the crash that would occur if you changed between windowed and full screen mode. Given the complexity of the problems there aren't that many details available, but if you're interested you'll find the full patch notes right below:

Ubisoft is giving away For Honor's Starter Edition for free until August 27th

If you've ever wanted to give For Honor a try, but you ended up avoiding it due to the somewhat mixed reviews, you might be interested to hear that Ubisoft is currently giving away the Starter Edition for free. Simply head on over to Steam until August 27th, claim the Starter Edition by clicking that giant green button, and you'll be able to keep it for good.

Naturally, since this is the Starter Edition, there will be some limitations. The most important one you need to keep in mind is that only three Vanguard heroes will be available to you from the start, while the rest will need to be unlocked through various forms of currency. A little bit annoying if you're planning to seriously get into For Honor, but as far as free trials are concerned I'd say this is a pretty darn good one.

Overwatch PTR has been updated with a brand new Control (King of the Hill) map - Busan

Overwatch in-game screenshot from the new Busan map

With gamescom and the South Korean fan event both happening at the same time, Blizzard has chosen this opportunity to release a brand new cinematic trailer starring D.Va. While it's not exactly my favorite short in terms of storytelling, it sure does paint an interesting picture of Busan in the future, which is why I'm glad to say that Blizzard has now gone a step further and released Busan as a brand new Control (King of the Hill) map!

So if you're interested in exploring the new map and seeing what sort of environmental hazards Lucio and Roadhog will be throwing you into, simply change your region to the PTR and you'll be able to play after a bit of a download. On the other hand, if you just want a little sneak peek at the map itself, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. Have a gander:
