After nearly decades of silence, the PC finally started getting a decent chunk of JRPGs a few years ago, albeit with quite a delay. Things have progressed rather nicely since then, and I am very glad to announce that the freshly remastered Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition has now arrived for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch simultaneously!
The Definitive Edition brings with it fully updated graphics, brand new music tracks, new bosses and storyline, as well as a collection of previously unreleased cosmetic DLC. Perhaps most importantly, especially for those of you that played the original, the Definitive Edition has also brought with it two additional playable characters - Patty Fleur and Flynn Scifo.
Overwatch devs are giving away the recently teased Bastet Ana skin for free

- in News
After a rather lengthy period with almost no new lore, I am happy to announce that the Overwatch writers have just recently awoken from their slumber and released a short story starring Ana and Soldier 76. While the story itself brought up some interesting details about the duo's lives, most notably the fact that Soldier 76 is gay, the thing that got the most people excited was a brief teaser for Ana's new skin!
With that in mind, I am also glad to say that Blizzard has now not only introduced Bastet Ana as a brand new skin, but also made it entirely free for everyone to acquire! All you need to do is win nine Quick Play, Competitive or Arcade games by January 21st, and the brand new Ana skin will be yours to keep.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is set to release this January 24th alongside all twelve playable factions from the tabletop version, each one offering their own own unique ships and strategies to mess around with. There will also be three distinct and narrative-driven campaigns to explore, so as far as content is concerned, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is looking to greatly overshadow its predecessor.
If you're wondering what exactly these three campaigns will be about, as well as which factions they will feature, you will find everything you need to know in the recently posted preview. Have a gander, it's well worth a watch:

If you're up for experiencing a genre that doesn't exactly appear often, you might want to check out the first-person platformer A Story About My Uncle as it's currently entirely free to grab. Simply head on over to the Humble store, click on the giant green button, activate your Steam key once you receive it, and you'll be good to go.
The only catch is that I've unfortunately noticed only the tail end of this giveaway, so you only have about fifteen hours to get your hands on A Story About My Uncle before it goes back to full price. As such, I would highly recommend you just grab yourself a copy while it's still available, even if you don't plan on playing it any time soon. Just make sure to activate your key on Steam and you'll be able to install it whenever you want.
Bungie has now parted ways with Activision, though not on bad terms

[Update]: Bungie has now finally announced their plans for the future! Destiny 2 is going free-to-play, moving to Steam, adding a new expansion, as well as supporting cross-platform saves!
While we're likely never going to get the details, it would appear that the recent rumors about division within Activision-Blizzard might just be true. The reason I say this is because Bungie, the studio behind the original Halo games and Destiny, has now parted ways from Activision and will be self-publishing their games in the future.
"We have enjoyed a successful eight-year run and would like to thank Activision for their partnership on Destiny," reads the official announcement. "Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce plans for Activision to transfer publishing rights for Destiny to Bungie. With our remarkable Destiny community, we are ready to publish on our own, while Activision will increase their focus on owned IP projects."
Overwatch devs have released a short story featuring Soldier 76, Ana and Bastet - Ana's fancy new skin

[Update]: Ana's Bastet skin has now arrived in-game, and it's entirely free to grab until January 21st!
It has been quite a while since we have received any sort of lore in Overwatch, which is why I am delighted to say that the devs have now released a short story by the name of Bastet. While Bastet won't tell you a lot about the future of Overwatch, it will give you a much deeper look at Ana and Soldier's characters, as well as a bit of a peek at some of the problems the organization has caused by attempting to singlehandedly police the world.
You can find the full story, as well as artwork showcasing Ana's upcoming Bastet skin, over at the official website. It's fairly short, as the name would suggest, so if you're even remotely interested in the Overwatch characters I would highly recommend you check it out. And if you need a bit of a teaser, let's just say that this short story has revealed Soldier 76 as Overwatch's second gay character (with Tracer being the first)!
