World of Warcraft will soon be improving its armor customization (transmog) system

- in News
After slowly introducing more and more ridiculous items over the years, Blizzard has now finally decided that the overly restrictive and downright archaic transmog rules are no longer necessary. In other words, you will soon have much greater freedom when it comes to customizing the appearance of your character's armor!
One of the biggest changes coming in with the next patch will be the ability to hide every single item except your pants, so if you're a fan of your Demon Hunter or Lightforged Draenei's tatoos, you will soon have a chance to show them off to the world. And if you simply must run around in your underwear like a maniac, worry not as there are plenty of transmog options that can give you the sort of look you desire.
Apex Legends update has now finally corrected some of the most common PC crashing issues

If you're like me, then your Apex Legends experience over the past month has been a bit of a bittersweet one. While the game itself is highly enjoyable, it unfortunately suffers from a variety of crashing issues that can occur at pretty much any moment, whether you're just dropping out of the ship or fighting the final squad. There are a ton of home-made fixes for this online, but despite trying my best to sort it all out, I've never managed to get Apex Legends to behave properly.
With that in mind, I am delighted to say that Respawn has now released a patch that is supposed to prevent some of the most common crashes out there. Naturally, there are still some underlying issues the team is yet to identify, but they are confident that they have managed to significantly improve the situation for the majority of the affected players.

If you're looking for an excuse to avoid the lovely weather outside and just play some equally lovely games, you might be interested to hear that GOG is now having a spring sale. The whole thing will last until March 28th, with each brand new day bringing with it a new batch of discounts to some of the most popular games on the platform.
For those of you that are unsure which games to grab, allow me to share some of my favorites, mostly focusing on games that have a decent length to them. Here's the list, in no particular order:
FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has now arrived alongside overwhelmingly positive reviews

[Update]: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice's free October update is bringing in boss rush and new outfits.
After being teased for what feels like an eternity at this point, FromSoftware's latest RPG Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has now finally made its way to PC and consoles. While it is definitely inspired by Dark Souls and Bloodborne, Sekiro is a bit of a different beast entirely. It's far more story focused, while the combat itself has been retooled to be noticeably more mobile and aggressive, to the point that you even have a grappling hook to help you navigate the various levels!
If you're wondering what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as what the story is all about, allow me to share with you the recently posted 'overview' trailer. Have a peek, it's quite an informative one:
The story-focused sci-fi adventure Tacoma is free to grab until March 24th

Tacoma is a sci-fi, narrative-focused adventure from the creators of Gone Home. The story takes place in the year 2088 on a high-tech space station, where you will need to use a variety of tools in order to figure out who the crew were, how they lived, and what exactly happened to them when disaster struck. Finding the answers, as you might expect, will take you on quite a journey!
If that sounds like something you could be interested in, then you should head on over to the Humble website as Tacoma is currently entirely free to grab. However, it will only be available until March 24th or until Humble runs out of keys, so do make sure to snatch yourself a copy as soon as possible.
World of Warcraft devs are now seriously looking into condensing the number of levels
- By Ash
- in News
World of Warcraft currently has 120 levels, with most of the interesting abilities and talents being given out during the first 30 or so. As you might imagine, this makes the leveling process feel less and less engaging as you go higher, which only makes the rather ridiculous amount of levels feel even more tedious to go through. Not exactly ideal, especially when it comes to new players that don't know how to blaze through some of the more boring stretches of leveling content.
Thankfully, it appears that Blizzard is now finally taking this problem seriously. During the most recent developer Q&A, they have revealed that they are heavily discussing a 'level squish' because of how bloated the leveling process has become. Naturally, they didn't reveal anything in terms of concrete details, but the good news is that they are seriously looking to solve the issue once and for all.
Gearbox is currently teasing a Duke Nukem or Bulletstorm announcement

[Update]: I'm afraid there is no new Bulletstorm game on the horizon. The game they were teasing was simply a Switch port of Bulletstorm.
After a rather lengthy period of silence, Gearbox has now returned to the spotlight with a rather interesting teaser. Instead of revealing Borderlands 3 which has been rumored for quite a few years now, Gearbox has instead decided to release a teaser for something related to either Duke Nukem or Bulletstorm.
If you're looking for a few more tidbits of information, I'm afraid that makes two of us as Gearbox has revealed pretty much nothing so far, choosing to instead announce the new game at the upcoming PAX. That said, I would be lying if I tried to pretend I wasn't slightly excited about either series making a glorious return!
