Doom Eternal update has added a new Battlemode map and even more Empowered Demons

[Update]: Doom Eternal is shifting development from the PvP Invasion mode to the single-player Horde mode.
As a part of Doom Eternal's first update, the developers added Empowered Demons to the singleplayer campaign in order to spice up the whole experience. However, in an effort to disrupt the actual gameplay as little as possible, they ended up making the Empowered Demons incredibly rare, and thus almost completely inconsequential. Now that Update 2 has arrived, this has thankfully been fixed and Empowered Demons will be a lot more likely to show up and get annihilated alongside their brethren.
Update 2 has also included a brand new Battlemode map by the name of Torment, as well as an assortment of bug fixes and improvements. For example, you can now set up unique keybinds per demon, the recent latency issues have hopefully been corrected, while the customization menu has been made a lot more intuitive to use.

[Update]: The surprisingly demon-infested Hellraid DLC has now arrived!
While Dying Light 2 seems to be having some development troubles, the original Dying Light is still going as strong as ever. So strong, in fact, that the developers are now getting ready to release a brand new piece of DLC for it - Hellraid!
As the name might imply, Hellraid will have you explore a massive dungeon and face off against a horde of demons with a wide assortment of fantasy weapons. Each run through the dungeon will reward you with coins that can be used to transfer the new weapons into the standard version of Dying Light, and the more challenges you undertake, the more coins you'll get at the end. Best of all, you'll be able to tackle the Hellraid DLC alone or in co-op with up to four players!

[Update #2]: Diablo 4 devs have detailed their plans for player skills, items and unique legendaries.
[Update]: The classic Diablo 2 is now celebrating its 20th anniversary!
While Diablo 4 is still a mere speck on the horizon, Blizzard has slowly but surely been revealing more details about it, as well as what the team is trying to achieve in regards to both gameplay and story. Last time around they talked about the UI, monster design and control schemes, while the latest update is all about the storytelling, problems and benefits of open world gameplay, as well as multiplayer.
"One of the main new features we are bringing to the Diablo series is the open world of Sanctuary," reads the lengthy update. "So, while you can concentrate on the story campaign and work through that, we have a variety of open world systems and pieces of content that you are also discovering along the way. If you want to take a break from the main campaign and go exploring, crafting, or PvPing, you are free to do so."

[Update]: Cyberpunk 2077's new preview shows off the three distinct origin stories and various high-powered weapons
While it was originally supposed to release this September, the ongoing pandemic has unfortunately resulted in Cyberpunk 2077 being delayed yet again. As such, the new release date has now been pinned for November 19th across all platforms.
It's not all bad news, however, as CDPR has just recently released an extended and rather exciting gameplay preview as a part of their Night City Wire event. Have a gander, it's a pretty long one:
The roguelike action game Rogue Legacy 2 will be hitting Steam Early Access this July

[Update #2]: After a brief delay, Rogue Legacy 2 has now made its way to Steam Early Access!
[Update]: Rogue Legacy 2's Early Access release date has been pushed back to August.
It may have taken seven years, but the sequel to the roguelike action game Rogue Legacy is now nearly upon us. You can expect to see Rogue Legacy 2 hit Steam Early Access this July 23rd and remain there for approximately one year, or at least until all of the planned content has been polished up and ready to launch. If that sounds like a long time, it is worth mentioning that Rogue Legacy 2 is aiming to be twice as large as the original.
When it comes to the actual gameplay, however, things will be fairly similar. In other words, there will be a large and randomly generated world for you to explore with a variety of randomly generated characters, each of which will have something a little bit unique about them. Maybe one character will perceive sound as colors, another will be a staunch pacifist, while your third might just up being the most magnificent hero that has ever lived... all the way until he falls face-first into a spike trap and gets replaced by someone who's just kinda on the fat side!
