If you happen to be a fan of Transformers and strategy games in general, you might want to keep an eye on the newly announced Transformers: Battlegrounds. The details are sadly few and far between, but so far it seems to be a rather colorful tactics game where Autobots and Decepticons rampage across an unfortunate city.

You can get a little bit of a sneak peek at what all of this looks like in gameplay terms through the recently posted announcement trailer. Have a gander, it's a fairly short one:

While I would love to tell you more, that little teaser is pretty much everything we know about how Transformers: Battlegrounds will play as of right now. The only other thing I can really tell you is that there will be a singleplayer story mode, as well as a multiplayer mode. For some actual details about either of them, however, you'll have to wait until the full reveal later this summer.

As for the release date, Transformers: Battlegrounds will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on October 23rd, 2020. While it's a bit barren right now, you can also keep an eye on it moving forward by hopping over to the official website.
