[Update]: The Chaos Wastes expansion has now finally arrived, and as expected, it's a pretty good one!
Fatshark announced quite a few months ago that they are working on a rather sizable new expansion for Vermintide 2 - Chaos Wastes. And then, in true Fatshark fashion, they proceeded to go radio silent and never actually explain what the Chaos Wastes will even bring to the table, let alone when the expansion will actually launch.
While that first part is unfortunately still a mystery, I am pleased to say that we now at least have a release window! As such, you can expect to see the PC version of Chaos Wastes launch this April, while the console version will follow at a later date.

[Update]: Overwatch has launched an adorable Pachimari themed event alongside these experimental balance changes.
While progress on Overwatch 2 seems to be going at a glacial pace, things are looking much better for the original Overwatch. Only a little while has gone by since the last major balance update, and already Blizzard has unleashed a new set of experimental patch notes.
Unlike some of the previous updates, however, this time around it's mostly just minor buffs. As such, you can look forward to Genji, Mei, Pharah, Reaper and Sigma getting a bit of a boost, while Zarya is looking to take a pretty serious hit to her energy conservation. Here's the full list of changes:
Valve is ceasing all development on Artifact and Artifact 2.0
- By Ash
- in News
Even though Valve managed to get a rather sizable chunk of players to dive into their card game Artifact, things turned sour very quickly. Due to a combination of balance problems and an overly restrictive in-game economy, players quickly found themselves running out of options, and soon enough out the door as well.
Month after month Artifact's player numbers crumbled, until finally Valve announced that they will be halting all future updates and reworking Artifact from the ground up. Quite a lot of time and patches have gone by since then, but I'm afraid Artifact 2.0 has run into exactly the same problem as the original - there is just not enough interested players to warrant further development. As such, Valve has now officially stopped working on both Artifact and the Artifact 2.0 Beta.
Burning Crusade Classic will be launching in 2021, with the beta starting up soon

[Update #2]: Burning Crusade Classic is launching on June 1st, and the pre-patch on May 18th!
[Update]: The Dark Portal has been opened - the Burning Crusade Classic beta is now live!
After a few rounds of rumors and leaks, the latest of which pretty much spoiled the entire surprise, Blizzard has now finally and officially spilled the beans. And so, in an announcement that I'm sure comes as a massive shock, Blizzard has now unveiled Burning Crusade Classic!
The exact release date hasn't been given just yet, but Burning Crusade Classic will definitely be launching in 2021, while its beta test will be starting up in the near future. It'll be pretty much the same scenario as with the original WoW Classic - all of the old features and content will be present and accounted for in their original form, just slightly spruced up in order to work on modern machines.
BioWare has now officially stopped all development on Anthem

After Anthem's disappointing launch and dwindling player numbers, BioWare decided to put all updates on hold in order to rework both the gameplay and progression systems from the ground up. Unfortunately, it seems that may have been too big of a task, even for a studio as experienced as BioWare. As such, I'm sad to say that development on Anthem has now been officially canceled.
"In the spirit of transparency and closure we wanted to share that we’ve made the difficult decision to stop our new development work on Anthem (aka Anthem NEXT)," reads the brief announcement. "We will, however, continue to keep the Anthem live service running as it exists today."
Nioh 2 PC Review - One of the very best Souls-like RPGs out there

Despite having some incredibly tough competition in the Souls-like genre, Nioh 2 has managed to genuinely impress me with its balance of combat, customization and exploration. Rather than simply copy games like Dark Souls and call it a day, Nioh 2 has brought in plenty of its own unique and interesting ideas, some of which are very likely to become staples of the genre moving forward.
So if you're wondering what the PC version of Nioh 2 is all about, as well as how exactly it fares when compared to the rest of the Souls-likes, allow me to give you my thoughts now that I've lived and breathed Nioh 2 for well over a week.
Telltale's terrific Tales from the Borderlands has now finally returned for both PC and consoles

[Update]: Gearbox is working on a brand new Tales from the Borderlands adventure game!
When Telltale Games shut down in 2018 their games quickly got pulled from digital storefronts. The immensely popular ones like The Walking Dead series returned with remarkable speed, while the rest ended up getting stuck in legal limbo. A fair bit of time has gone by since then, but I'm happy to say that a brand new game has just managed to escape that living nightmare!
The game in question is the truly terrific Tales from the Borderlands, a choice-driven adventure that takes place between Borderlands 2 and 3. So if you're in the mood for a heavily story focused Borderlands game, you can now once again pick it up on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, while the Switch version will be launching on March 24, 2021.
