You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in action through two of the recently posted trailers. The first is the cinematic one setting up the whole theme, while the second one is all about showing off the new traps and toys in action. Have a gander:
The Sims 4 is adding The Sims 3 inspired story progression for neighborhood Sims

[Update]: The base version of The Sims 4 is now entirely free-to-play on both PC and consoles.
In an effort to make the Sims world a more interesting place, The Sims 4 will be adding Neighborhood Stories as a part of the upcoming November 30th update. To put it quite simply, the goal behind Neighborhood Stories is to breathe life into non-active Sims by giving them the ability to change, attempt new things, have a baby, and so forth.
The initial implementation of Neighborhood Stories will be quite simple, though the team is already looking to expand the idea by taking pointers from The Sims 3's well-received Story Progression system. For now, however, neighboring Sims will independently consider changing their current career, having a baby with their partner, as well as hanging out with other Sims and perhaps even forming deeper friendships.

[Update]: ArenaNet has announced sweeping changes to all nine of the upcoming elite specializations.
Guild Wars 2's End of Dragons expansion will be launching in February 2022, bringing with it the much-anticipated continent of Cantha. Besides a bunch of new zones to explore, End of Dragons will also add an assortment of endgame content, a fishing profession and player controlled boats, nine new elite specializations to toy around with, and even a combat-focused turtle mount that seats two players and is able to briefly fly around thanks to an in-built jetpack!
So if you're interested in what the Siege Turtle might look like in action, as well as what each of the new specializations have to offer, you'll be happy to hear that the upcoming beta event will give you the answers you seek. The whole thing will kick off on November 30th and last until December 4th, during which you'll be able to explore all of the current content with the new additions and see just how each one compares to its predecessors.

[Update]: The time has come, Creative Assembly has finally unleashed a gameplay preview showing off a battle between Nurgle and Slaanesh. Needless to say, the Nurglings look awesome!
It has only been a couple of days since Nurgle and Slaanesh were first revealed, and already Creative Assembly has given us heaps of information about the Lord of Decay. The last update covered Nurgle's rather unique campaign mechanics, while today's preview is all about the units and heroes we'll be able to toy around with.
As you might imagine, Nurgle's forces will consist of a wide array of plague-ridden daemons, some jovial and some bestial in nature. So while the Plaguebearers of Nurgle, Beasts of Nurgle and even Nurglings will run around the battlefield looking for friends to hug and diseases to spread, the eternally depressed Rot Flies will tirelessly seek to enact revenge on a world that spurned their love. Needless to say, Nurgle's forces will be a colorful lot, even if they mostly do come in shades of puss-green and sewer-brown.
Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition is adding the highly adaptable Mexico civilization this December

[Update]: Following in Age of Empire II's footsteps, Age of Empires III is adding two new civilizations and a brand new 'Tycoon' game mode.
For a series that was sadly ignored for a very long time, Age of Empires has managed to reestablish itself quite nicely over the past couple of years. The new and improved Age of Empires 4 has just launched, Age of Empires 2 is still getting frequent updates, and even Age of Empires 3 is now getting ready for a brand new expansion!
As you might imagine from the title alone, Age of Empires 3's upcoming DLC will add the strategically diverse Mexico civilization. Starting from the Commerce Age, Mexico can choose to Revolt in order to access a whole bunch of new cards, only to later return to Mexico while still retaining access to the benefits granted by any cards selected during the revolution. Combine this with an assortment of Federal States you can advance into when going between the ages, and you'll be able to adapt to pretty much any situation and keep the opponent guessing on what your plans truly are.
Terraria and Don't Starve Together have both just launched a chunky crossover update

[Update #2]: Terraria's likely final update "Labor of Love" has now arrived with a bunch of improvements.
[Update]: Terraria and Core Keeper are doing a small crossover to celebrate Terraria's upcoming Labor of Love update.
It would appear that today is the unofficial indie crossover day! Not only has Dead Cells added weapons and outfits themed after six other indie games, but Terraria and Don't Starve Together have now launched their very own crossover updates as well!
Funnily enough, the whole crossover started from an offhanded comment during Re-Logic's AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit. The team was asked what game or universe they would love to do a crossover with, to which the answer was Don't Starve. And as it so happens, a member of the Don't Starve team noticed that comment, contacted Re-Logic, and the whole Terraria X Don't Starve Together update was set in motion quickly after.
