The university building and management sim Two Point Campus was originally supposed to arrive on May 17th, 2022, but according to the newest developer update that's sadly no longer going to be the case. In order to ensure Two Point Campus launches in as polished of a state as possible, the team has now decided to push its release date back to August 9th.

"As you know, one of our biggest goals with Two Point Campus is to launch on PC and console platforms from day one, and we want to make sure that every single one of you gets the best quality game no matter what you're playing on," explains the brief update. "So in order for everyone to have the incredible experience we all want you to have, we need a little more time to continue our optimisation efforts for all platforms. "

Remedy has begun work on big-budget remakes of both Max Payne and Max Payne 2

[Update]: It took a while for this announcement to arrive, but Remedy Entertainment is now also working on Control 2!

Today has been a pretty good day as far as ancient classics go. Ron Gilbert has announced that he's working on a brand new Monkey Island game, and now Remedy Entertainment has revealed that they are remaking both the original Max Payne and its sequel Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne!

The remakes will be developed on the Northlight engine (Control, Quantum Break) and will be released as a single game. As for the launch platforms, right now it looks like Max Payne 1 & 2 will be arriving onto PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Most importantly, the budget for the remakes will be "in line with a typical Remedy AAA-game production", so I think it's safe to say we can expect a high standard of quality.

[Update #2]: It's time to get excited as Return to Monkey Island will be launching on September 19th, 2022!

[Update]: Return to Monkey Island's first preview shows off a new art style and some excellent music.

Over thirty years have gone by since Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, so you can imagine my surprise when Ron Gilbert, one of the original creators, popped up to announce a brand new follow-up is currently in development! The exact details are still few and far between, but the freshly announced Return to Monkey Island will be a collaboration between Gilbert's Terrible Toybox and Lucasfilm Games.

While Return to Monkey Island will be a follow-up to Monkey Island 2, Ron Gilbert has quickly clarified that the team has gone to great lengths to ensure that Monkey Island 3 (The Curse of Monkey Island) will not go out of canon. Not only that, but Murray will also be making an appearance in Return to Monkey Island!

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has now arrived with a storyline spanning all nine movies

After going through a rather lengthy delay, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has now finally been unleashed for PC and consoles. While it's similar to the rest of the series in terms of gameplay, The Skywalker Saga manages to stand head and shoulders above them when it comes to its sheer scope.

Instead of focusing on a single movie or even a single series, The Skywalker Saga brings with it a storyline spanning all nine of the main Star Wars movies! Just to put things into perspective, this means there's over 300 playable characters, over 100 vehicles to accidentally smash into walls, as well as 23 different planets to explore. That is an impressive amount of content, even for the standards of the Lego Star Wars games!

Vampire Survivors' newly added Hurry mode lets you finish a run in half the time

[Update #2]: Vampire Survivors' May 2022 update has added an in-game shop, a trippy boss fight, and many secrets.

[Update]: Vampire Survivors new update has weaponized cats and finally added the gameplay-altering Arcanas.

While Hyper mode helps keeps things nice and interesting throughout the entire run, it sadly doesn't speed up the actual game in any way. So if you don't have 30 minutes to spare for a full run, you're pretty much out of luck.

Thankfully, the freshly released Update 0.4.2 has finally added an alternative - the Hurry mode! It essentially makes the in-game clock tick twice as fast, which means that not only will enemies cycle more frequently, but the whole run will only last 15 minutes in total. It's both convenient and decently challenging, so I have a feeling it's going to be my default mode moving forward.

[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3's long awaited Immortal Empires campaign is most likely coming in September!

It took a fair bit of time to get here, but Total War: Warhammer 3's very first major update has now been released alongside a whole host of improvements and bug fixes. The most important of these are the various changes to the Realm of Chaos campaign, all aimed at making it a less stressful and more rewarding experience.

As such, the negative traits you get in the Chaos realms are now not only less debilitating, but they're also much easier to get rid off. Similarly, defeating an enemy lord at the Forge of Souls will now remove all of their souls, thus giving you a chance to come back from a losing campaign without having to permanently camp there. And in order to make expanding your empire a less stressful affair, the "Protection" building chain can now prevent rifts from spawning in the province entirely!

Something huge is coming to Fall Guys, though in order to find out what exactly that might be I'm afraid we'll have to wait a little while longer. Thankfully, we won't have to simply sit around as the Fall Guys team has just launched a series of events to help tide us over until the big announcement goes live!

From from until April 10th you'll be able to complete a variety of challenges in a playlist consisting of classic rounds and variations, with the end-reward being the Star Princess costume. Then from April 18th to April 24th you'll be able to dive into the jungle-only playlist to complete another set of challenges, with the reward this time around being the Star Detective costume.
