GOG is currently running a bit of a sale, and in order to get everyone's attention they have decided to offer free copies of Carmageddon: TDR 2000 for the next ~18 hours. So if you're up for some oldschool vehicular carnage, simply head on over to GOG and claim your copy.
Before you head out, it is important to mention that this Carmageddon game has not been made by the original developers and as such it has some fairly middling reviews. Even it's very own storefront refers to it as "the turd game in the Carmageddon series!" I haven't played it myself so I can't tell you how good or bad it truly is, but if you do decide to grab it make sure you're prepared for a bit of a different experience than the previous Carmageddon games.

If you aren't a big fan of highly mobile heroes like Genji or Winston, you might not have noticed that the recent Overwatch update brought with it significant changes to how your character actually moves. All of this was done not as a buff or nerf to highly mobile heroes, but rather as a fix for two rather peculiar issues with movement in the air and on inclines.
You can find all of the details in Principal Designer Geoff Goodman's post over at the Overwatch forums, but if you're just interested in the short version allow me to share a few choice quotes. That said, I would still highly recommend you read the whole post as it clearly explains what all of the changes have done and why they needed to be implemented in the first place. Anyway, here's the short version:

Total War: Warhammer 2's Mortal Empires campaign is absolutely gigantic, and as expected, also filled with a whole bunch of annoying bugs and issues. Perhaps the most famous of these problems is the endless tide of Dwarfs that seems to come from the mountains in every single campaign, usually to the detriment of the Greenskins and Skaven that get completely crushed under a sea of beards.
As such, I am very glad to say that the free update accompanying the Tomb Kings DLC will bring with it some much needed nerfs to the Dwarfs AI, as well as a couple of major buffs to the Greenskins AI which should result in them venturing out of the Badlands more often. As for the Skaven, I am equally glad to say that their broken autoresolve will also be getting fixed, which means that the AI Skaven factions will not automatically lose the vast majority of their battles. All of this might sound simple, but these changes should have a drastic impact on the Mortal Empires campaign map and will hopefully result in a wider variety of opponents to fight against.

Vampyr is an upcoming vampire themed RPG from Dontnod, a studio you might recognize from their work on Life is Strange and Remember Me. We'll be taking on the role of a doctor trying to cure a deadly plague that's sweeping through the entirety of London, while also attempting to manage the vampiric curse that forces the otherwise noble doctor to feed on his fellow humans in order to survive. It's a fairly interesting premise for an RPG, especially if the people you're supposed to feed on are given enough characterization, so I must admit I'm quite curious to see how Dotnod will approach the storytelling.
The recently posted developer video does not offer many answers, but if you're interested in seeing what sort of vampires and stories Dontnod is trying to create, I'd say it's still well worth a look. Have a gander, it's a fairly short video:

After a couple of weeks of teasers Battlerite developers have now finally released a brand new support champion - Zander the Magnificent Magician. As you might imagine given his attire, he's a bit of a different champion than the ones that came before him. What I mean by this is that his damage and healing numbers are quite a bit lower than you might expect, especially for what is supposed to be a support champion, but worry not as he more than compensates for that fact with a whole bunch of highly versatile abilities!
If you're wondering what all of that might look like in-game, wonder no more as the developers have recently posted a brief preview video. It won't give you a detailed overview of everything Zander brings to the table, but it should be enough to give you a general idea of his playstyle. Have a look:

If you ever wanted to pilot your own Death Star, you'll soon have a chance as Paradox has announced a brand new expansion for Stellaris - Apocalypse. As you might expect given the name, Stellaris: Apocalypse brings with it enormous "Titan" capital ships, planet-killing weaponry, space-pirates and mercenaries, as well as a couple of non-violent features to give you something to do in between blowing up planets.
The recently posted trailer won't exactly tell you much about the expansion itself, but it sure does demonstrate how powerful the new death-laser can truly be! Have a look, it's a fairly short video:

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm brought with it a brand new world filled with interesting stories to unravel and unique quests to solve. While all of that sounds like a great idea on paper, in reality it was a ton of wasted effort as players quickly over-leveled the content and then abandon it half-way through, thus never really experiencing the zones as they were intended.
With that in mind, I am very glad to say that the latest Update 7.3.5 has implemented Legion's level scaling system to every single zone across every single expansion! So if you ever wanted to completely skip Outland and just continue questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, you now have the option to do just that. And more importantly, visiting dungeons while leveling no longer means you have to abandon half of the zone you're currently exploring due to over-leveling!

The console versions of Monster Hunter: World are set to arrive in the very near future, on January 26th to be specific. As for the PC version, it has been known for a while now that it's going to be coming at a later date, though nobody really knew how long it would be delayed. Well, that announcement came just recently, and I'm afraid it's not exactly what most of us have been hoping for.
According to the most recent developer update, the PC version of Monster Hunter: World will be coming in Autumn, a far cry from the rumored month-long delay. While the thought that we'll essentially have to wait an entire year before getting our hands on it is not exactly a pleasant one, there is a silver lining to all of this: the developers are committed to making a quality PC port. If they didn't care they could've just cobbled something together and released it alongside the console versions for maximum profit, but instead they chose to delay it for nearly a year in order to ensure it gets done right, and that's something I can certainly respect. It doesn't make the wait any easier, but it sure beats having a crappy port.

Heroes of the Storm might not be a game for everyone, but the cinematics the team keeps pumping out every month or two are definitely worth a look regardless of your MOBA preference. Unlike the previous Winter Veil cinematic that primarily focused on lighthearted humor and bringing the heroes together, the most recent MechaStorm video is straight-up action from the very beginning to the very end.
So if you're interested in seeing mecha versions of Tyrael and Rehgar square off against Xenotech Abathur and his mechanized locusts, all set to some pretty kick-ass music, you'll find the latest cinematic short right below. Have a look, it really is quite something:

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is an action-RPG that combines the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40k universe with the open-ended nature of the Diablo series. As you might expect from such a mixture, Inquisitor - Martyr is all about exploring vast and randomly created levels, collecting more loot than any one person could possibly carry, messing around with a variety of weapons and abilities, and naturally, mowing down Chaos forces by the hundreds.
Inquisitor - Martyr is still in Early Access, though progress seems to be going at a steady pace as the developers have just released a major update. The unassumingly named Patch 0.7.0 has brought with it a brand new class in the form of the Psyker (think of them like mages), the very first chapter of the single player campaign along with a better tutorial, a new terrain setting to explore, and naturally, a whole bunch of gameplay improvements and bug fixes. If you're interested in all of the details you'll find the full patch notes over at the Steam announcement.
