Vampyr artwork of a vampire attacking a human in the dark

Vampyr is an upcoming vampire themed RPG from Dontnod, a studio you might recognize from their work on Life is Strange and Remember Me. We'll be taking on the role of a doctor trying to cure a deadly plague that's sweeping through the entirety of London, while also attempting to manage the vampiric curse that forces the otherwise noble doctor to feed on his fellow humans in order to survive. It's a fairly interesting premise for an RPG, especially if the people you're supposed to feed on are given enough characterization, so I must admit I'm quite curious to see how Dotnod will approach the storytelling.

The recently posted developer video does not offer many answers, but if you're interested in seeing what sort of vampires and stories Dontnod is trying to create, I'd say it's still well worth a look. Have a gander, it's a fairly short video:

If this sounds like the type of game you'd love to try out, you'll be glad to hear that Vampyr will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the spring of 2018, though unfortunately no exact date has been given just yet. You can learn a little bit more, or just follow it's development moving forward, by heading over to the official website.

On the other hand, if you're interested in seeing what all of this might look like in-game, you'll find one of the earlier gameplay previews right below. The video is from 2016 so it's fairly outdated at this point, but it should at least give you a general idea of what to expect. Enjoy!
